To make it simple, a Druid is a nature sorcerer/alchemist (could be Shaman if they lived in America but they are from Europe and from celtic origins). Grant them whatever powers you want, one thing is a basic for them : they eat and use plants and fruits, they go up in trees to get mistletoe (you know the one excuse you get to kiss someone when you find yourself under it)… they don’t eat meat… This is why THEY ARE NOT FAT (no weight shaming here, just a fact). So, I know it’s been asked before and this is a fantasy game but, Blizzard, please, make the Druids right or at least give us a choice of body type (and why no for every class?)
And who says Blizzard needs to be beholden to DnD stereotypes?
I like they have their own take on things.
Druid just looks terrible, its not moral to praise character which spend all of his life in mcdonalds. Its insulting. Look at D2R druid, thats how druid should look like.
You are being disingenuous. Go look up what strongmen look like. That is what the Druid looks like.
As usual fatshamers with no clue about bodytypes comes running.
this druid is originally from detroit, he grew up feeding from pizza and juicy greesy burgers only, he has diabetes and even though he tries to do some exercises every now and then he just cant loose any weight. overweight is beauty after all, so be a proud fat druid .
Druid should look like a hobo… not someone that ate a hobo.
Ah Druid is a nerd who builds stonecircle calendars noone uses.
Druid is a priceless source of fat jokes!
“Yo mama is soooo fat that she could be a druid in D4” - something like that.
I mean druids who shapeshift etc are pretty fictional so I’m sure their version of a druid can be whatever they want it to be. However I do agree the customisation of new characters is pretty nice but I’m surprised you can’t customise body shape… on ALL characters… I’m not fussed either. Kinda grown used to my chonky druid now. But could be interesting to see how many people want to choose body type.
Who said druids are vegan ?
Even so, a druid can ask bees to leave their nest and eat tons of honey, which is sugar, which transforms into fat.
Fat druid is possible.
My wife’s druid looks like an angry mama with heavy mascara, who just finished cooking and is now camping at the door with a broom waiting for her kids to come home.
I am guessing your wife has never left the table if she looks like that.
I’m sure Bliz will give us an option to change our build via Premium currency in the future.
Do you know that reality has very little effect on what happens in another world that is completely fictional?
They descended from barbarians and still keep up with the barbarian training, though obviously not to the same extent as the true barbarians.
Male Druid is perfectly fine, the female on the other hand shares same Hairstyles which is obviously not working, need some more Grandma/normal hairstyles, not some modern biker stuff, simply doesn’t work for her
someone doesn’t watch the fat bear competition
Diablo druids turn into werebears and werewolves. I’m pretty sure meat is on the menu.
Not that I’m defending the monstrosity that is the female Druid model. They should have made it like the barbarian female model.
Just because you don’t eat meat does not mean you should look one way or another. So, your statement is not fact but opinion. Many people from German or Slavic ethnicity (not all but at least some) will develop a paunch no matter what they eat. Once again, they are not fat. Further, take a look at the David Diet. It eliminates animal protein but still keeps people healthy (not necessarily thin but…). Granted, you are correct in that we should be able to have a “necro” body on a Barbarian, etc. but that does not seem to be possible. Hopefully, we will have more body options upon launch. After all, they skipped through two or three section of character creation during EB, OB and SS.
YOU SHUT YOUR DIRTY MOUTH! The Druid is PERFECT the way he’s drawn. And saying “no fat shaming” doesn’t mean you’re not fat shaming!!! LOL
Yeah, I’d like to see body style choices INCLUDING THE ONE THEY HAVE FOR DRUID, because it’s perfect for anyone who becomes a werebear. BUT, I agree about the need for choice. The anorexic necro and sorcs are just sad. I suggested the same thing in my post, albeit much more in favor of the larger model.
Look, if Barbie is now down syndrome, then the druid can be fat and hairy. Turn your glasses sideways and he’ll be skinny on the screen. Problem solved. heh heh…
