It does happen, but habitually? Idk I’m skeptical.
This is what I refer to as the “Developer Side Hustle”, and yes they have thought of it.
I never trust such sites. There are literally runes being sold for 1g. Very suspicious. Not sure if that’s just there to interfere with proper trading, or these people have some scam up their sleeves. I’ve seen other 1g items being sold too, and I’d understand that towards the end of the Season, but the sheer number of such sales is not really the kind of community I know this as.
People aren’t kind, not in that sum.
It was a mistake to allow trading in this game. The only trading that should have been allowed, was that which you looted in a party and those currently present. Everyone else should have been off limits, but our current generation appears to be so spoiled, they need to have access to everything the easy way. A little too much grinding and they’re marching to the forums to throw a tantrum and make some digital protest.
Don’t bother replying to someone who barely understands how the system works, you’re just wasting your breathe on a stupid child. People like that can’t register the thought of someone having so much gold, in their small minds, it MUST be bought with real money.
Let the rest of the player base continue to make billions of gold, while he sits there scratching his head, it’s fine =)
Traded in game 600m for 4 Bac runes. Gold went poof and the runes never showed up in my inventory.
The seller claimed they had bought them to resell - and traded me 4 real runes one at a time checking that I got it after each one.
Not sure if they were the scammer or if they legit got scammed …
Thankful it was made right but my trust in trading is gone.
Historically I’ve never traded in Diablo games and just earned everything myself. In this case I was having no luck getting Bac runes and needed 4. Had plenty of other runes I sold for the gold.
I agree that an auction house would be great. I don’t think trading should be disabled if an AH is added but just warnings only to trade with people you trust in the trade window would be great.
All of this makes me wonder why it disappears on trade but not before.
Thx for share this.
I was about to make a acc there, but since it use oauth with your battle.net, i was afraid to turn my acc vulnerable.
Now im sure i will never use it…
this is just not true, I’ve accumulated well over 30B gold and I still can’t get my max aspects, multiple GAs or good unique rolls. RNG doesn’t obey your rules.
I went to put the ring in my stash. As soon as I opened my stash, the ring vanished, completely disappeared.
interesting i luckily haven’t had anything “poof” yet and wasn’t sure how it would go about happening if at all
i was a little worried at start but i think that method is safe at least from quick googling the authenticator… give it a shot maybe, it can be very helpful to sell and get things you need, but i guess the discord works also although not as well
There is no way Blizz is bringing back AH , after the bad taste that was RMAH in D3 long time 13 years ago … It took Blizz a lot of money paid to lawyers to fix the RMAH that was clearly advertised on the retail box , hence the history of short time AH in diablo lores
this is just not true, I’ve accumulated well over 30B gold
Did you accumulate just from farming?
Glad I’m not the only person who actively speaks up about it. Anytime I speak my ports get shut down and I get flamed for telling this information. The diablo trade and sanctuary staff has personally sent me messages and harass me every day due to me speaking out on forums.
So what’s wrong with making a built in market/trading in game as opposed to having an unofficial but purportedly official dibalo trade site (in my personal opinion looks sketchy)?
They made a Party Finder when you can do it in forums or Discord. Pros or cons, it means it’s doable. If there’s a will, there’s is a way.
More players seem to enjoy and willing to trade than use Party finder. So why not implement one then?
I’m not talking a real money auction house. I’m talking in game trade for in game currency. Wow had one so there is a Blozzard title that does just fine with one.

This kinda confuses me. Everytime auction house is brought up, why do everyone assume it should support RMT? Can’t it be just in game currency or just trading.
I have no idea. It’s like they haven’t ever played a game with a proper auction house before.
That’s not an rmt site. It’s just a trade site. I already finished this season for now so I’ve not seen this issue. I hope the devs fix the dupe and ban every person who attempted it.
Thx for the heads up, I didn’t know this was a thing.
This season I haven’t bought anything and likely won’t as the market is highly inflated right now, possibly due to people buying gold with real money.
I’ll still sell some good items, you need billions of gold in the end game to reset masterworking and rolling affixes.
I see no problem with this either, however with current drop rates this would be horrible. Changing those should be such a simple fix though I dont get it. Ughhh
I would take AH in a minute if it solved dupe crisis. This is an utter disaster. You cant trust anything. Trading is a roll of dice.
Bliz should ashamed how S6 went down the tubes.
