"Diablo 4 Season 3 Minion Patch: A Laughable Letdown"

Btw, minion builds will have the worst scaling for our seasonal pet compared to every other build in the game. How cool’s that?

Oh no, god forbid we make a fun class. Let’s not forget we’re talking about Blizzard here, they forgot games are supposed to be FUN a long time ago.

Would be great if they just enhance the minion’s inherit maybe to 50% and add for example a cool second buff to choose from in the book of the dead per minion class additionally.

Maybe there could be an aspect as well in opposite of the sacrificial one that further boosts those.

Also I would appreciate if they for example added another 1-2 uniques. For example a focus with like + 3 skeletal warriors and skeletal mages each and kind of a trigger with an avenger mode for them. Than players would be able to increase the number of minions, but not have to use two aspects for that.

Probably another good way to make the build better would be like 6+6+1 minions as base, so that it would be possible to have almost 20 in total.

Also a 1H weapon would be cool to maybe double the skeletons for a short time and some enhanced crit. chance or lucky hit or a cool dmg effect.

I did also a shadow necro this season (geared up with 925 stuff - the minion necro has got only a 925 sword and one leg ring that high) and the difference is just ridiculous.
When the butcher arrives and ignores the minions, you have to run for you’re life and pray that there is a healing well nearby whereas with the shadow necro the butcher himself is fresh meat in a couple of seconds and no effort.

I don’t want an S class build, but at least it would be nice that a level 100 Summoner could do something like a ND70 with some work - does not have to be AFK. I like to support the pack.

And when it comes to the skill bar, it would be much appreciated if they added another key for the summoning skill for example, that players don’t need to have half of the four skills minion related - at best something near the spacebar.

Let’s see - but it would be great if the minion necro would be a viable class - does not need to be a HotA or Ball Lightning, but endgame viable - at least when it comes to lvl 120-130 enemies. But I have the feeling, players need to be veeery patient about needed changes in the future.

I am curious, how good the minion necro (started at game launch) will be after the season with shako, the sacri ring, mendeln and a borrowed GF from my HoTA, but I would be surprised if the minions alone would deal something like 50k dps periodical - at the moment without the Uber gear / 925 item stuff mostly it is like 1-5k dps - and I did like 50-90k. Only after I got the bone para board with the crit dmg. glyph, I can do something between 100-300k dps - but not for long with only 119 essence. High 40NDs solo is hard (I am not using blood mist and also not anymore army, because I like to stun and a second essence generator with corpse explo - furthermore I am a slow dude with just basic speed - haha). It would be way better, if there is no need for the best gear to do decent minion damage - I mean, it would be great if minions would do like 10% of the bone spear dmg alone.

Just my 2 cents.

The funny part when one seasonal robot stepped over and spit on the entire minion build about to come true lol

I decided that I will be playing Necro for my first character in Season 3.

Patch notes released.

I decided that I will remain a barbarian.

  • Bone Spirit (and maybe Blood with it as well)

How do we know this?

The robot scales with the player’s stats and does not gain anything from minion damage or attack speed.

Gtfo! I have never met you before in anything else such as discord and am calling you a dumb dumb head because I can!

What stats exactly? 20 char

They seemed to figure out a fun playstyle in D2 where you could be a bad-azz undead general. But this D4 team is like here’s a handful of useless skellies. Good luck ¯_(ツ)_/¯

i think the fixed 8 player direction that caused the enemies to soley focus on skeletons was why d2 had a great minion build. a wall of bodies protecting you.
You actually felt like a undead army commander.

d4, things will whip past your entire army and attack you, run off the side, or just straight ignore them, forcing you to fight with them, kind of takes away from the fantasy.

D4 needs to make skeletons pure passives, long range of site for monsters and no activating golem attacks, no pushing to summon, it should be strickly passive with many customizable options and balance them enough to allow them to be the target first.

That annoys the crap out of me. I pointed it out in the beta how enemies just ignored minions, and I spent half my time running away from enemies who kept pace with me. Still exactly the same. I do think they should be active summons. Passive like D3 wasn’t very fun. Also, give me MORE minions. Getting like 12 or so is really boring

Previous: Hit button to spawn minions

New: Hit button to spawn one minion then fill out forms in triplicate.
Repeat for each minion.

Macro mage spam is still a top tier choice for all seasons in D3… Whats wrong with that?

Every class in D3 at this point has a top tier build for pushing GR 150’s.

Everything should be broken because its how fun is scaled in ARPG’s.

I mean even rogues are stuck to twin dagger skill builds because it far exceeds the other build types… Rip bow users.

Same for mage they have 1 build.

Not to be an a.ss here but ehm…
would you rather have a broken minion build, or a shietty one that we have now?
where no one wants to play it

look at barb hota, hits for billions, gets the tiniest nerf ever, why can’t we start of from broken and slowly nerf downwards? atleast pple can play the damn character then and have fun
