Diablo 4 open beta feedback : Big problem with scaling vs loot (+Necro)

Hi,

I’ve never played any Diablo games before Diablo 4… so maybe players who are used to play this franchise won’t find my problem to be a real problem.

Thanks to the beta I foreseen what can be a major problem to me.
The game is scaling the world based on your level and I like that !!! but there is a major issue with the loot as it seems to not scale the same.

This weekend I’ve decided to do the last story quests and dungeons once my Necro is level 25 and I noticed that all the loot was between level 11 and 19 at best.
As a player who like to move to the next area after I’ve done all dungeons and quest in the precedent one, it’s a real problem.
I don’t think it’s a good thing to do dungeons being level 25 if all loot are at 95% level 11-15.

Why scaling enemies level if their drops is 10 or more levels below ? it doesn’t motivate players to do all contents devs added in the game !

In my opinion all loot should be around your levels +/- 2 or 3 levels.
for example if you fight regular mobs at level 25 you should have loot between level 22-25 while on bosses 24/26 depending of the mode you play (normal, vet, etc.).

Is it only a problem for me ?

My last comment is about the Necro class, one major aspect of the class of this class that is good for any class that have minions is the possibility to order them to attack a specific enemy.
Why there is no possibility to assign a Key to “order minions to attack / focus on target” in the setting/parameters menu ?

that’s it, hope Devs will have a look at this 2 issue and do something.

have fun

The required level is not the level of the loot. The fixed level 35 enemy drops level 26 required loot. Loot has a required level 8-10 levels lower than the level it dropped at.

ahh ok… that explain a lot thanks for the info.

There is something strange to me… during the beta and without having done all dungeons and side quests and the stories ones as they were blocked I hit level 25 in less than 2 days…

So it means that when the game will be released and if I decided to do all story quests/side quests in the first area I might be around level 35 in the first area with mobs scaled up to lvl 354 and drops at level 10-20…

I don’t know it’s weird to me…
