Top 5 builds of the game are all by 1 class. Enough said
Wrong. Most of the hate videos come from very avid ARPG players that are fed up with the way D4 has been handled. You cant handle the truth and are looking for someone to blame other than the devs. Why is it that when the game is down bad there is no blame for the team that created the game and is fully in charge of literally everything that happens to it? Why does it always boil down to someone else’s fault? Ridiculous.
You are joking, yeah? Those games especially got absolutely roasted to no end. I am talking about those games getting nuked from orbit for quite awhile. Same with any AAA game that has been awful, looking to score a premium price.
We could go with Occam’s razor and just assume that they literally have no talent, except for the art team. I like to think that they know that a very small core player base will continue to keep playing no matter what they do with the game, and that small base will continue buying battle passes and cosmetics. That should keep most investors happy with the quarterly reports. If it weren’t for WoW still bringing home the bacon, and the investors only had D4, overwatch 2 to look at…there would be a mass selloff.
I think at this point we just need more endgame to work towards as the Pit isn’t enough as it stands. Maybe more chase loot, more affixes at higher tiers unlock, maybe more new tempering powers unlock at higher tiers of Torment, and new bosses at T2 and up?
We have a way to farm gold, MW materials, and try to target farm more GA’s. A way to target farm Mythics better and level glyphs better is around now. Now it just needs a bit more things to do while you build that character and increase its power. More options wouldn’t hurt whatever they are.
It can still have a definitive finish line unless they want the Pit to be it, but to me it isn’t enough.
I disagree with the OP.
They deserve the hate.
There’s a few reasons for this:
- Class imbalance
- Tempering / master working
- Driver issues (video cards)
Those are 3 that encompass a ton of ground.
Class imbalance, while nothing will ever be perfectly balanced they continue to imbalance the classes. Promoting the idea of seasonal flavor of the month classes doesn’t do this any favors but currently it isn’t in a good state.
Tempering / master working arguably the most contentious activity… Combined with the poor quality / designed loot drops haven’t made the game better (my opinion) but chase players away with frustration.
Having suffered through crash after crash and having to roll back a video driver is frustrating. While it affects some and not others, when you can’t reliably play a game….
Everyone has their list of things they dislike / hate.
To say it’s undeserved is nonsense.
Some of it is well deserved.
Perfect example of this would be classic wow and adding gold tokens to the in game shop.
Now you know why some players do not like D4
ITT:
-
It’s the players fault for the state of the game, for demanding too much / better .
-
Were too hard on blizzard / devs .
-
Anyone who thinks otherwise should leave the forums to those who shephard nothing but positivity .
Got it.
Toxic positivity is definitely a thing, and that thing runs rampant on these boards.
Little bit of tribalism mixed in with a dash of sunk cost fallacy, and then top it all off with a pinch of Stockholm syndrome and boom you have got yourself a D4 forum stew
yes it does. I think the 2.5 Meta critic is realy bollocks. D4 is easaly a stable 3.5 out of 10.
Most posts are constructive. It is seldom to have blind hatred posted on the forums. Plus, you aren’t going to typically have players write a dissertation on what they like about D4 every time they go to post their frustrations.
I know whenever I post, it is with the aim of the slightest off chance that something will change for the good.
When you have thousands of posts about the disdain for the Tempering system, that says to me that the problem isn’t with the players but the game. There is such a large consensus of players Blizzard would be foolish to not address this issue.
Not according to the white knights! D4 is the greatest ARPG out there and having a differing opinion makes you persona non grata in this parts.
Can we stop using the term “White Knight” altogether though? It’s a sexist, derogatory term used by misogynistic people to defend their misogyny by expressing the extreme opposite of their position as irrational.
And it’s use here is the same; you state that using phrasing like mental defects is poor but then go on to absolutely wreck your own point by using terms that are driven by extremists with the intent to tarnish the idea that people can like something you don’t. I get it, some of you are younger, but that’s pretty self-defeating.
This might be the dumbest thing I have seen posted in a forum
Either post or don’t. Stop trying to alienate others.
I “complain” on the forums because I really like the game and I want to make it better. Most people on here probably feel the same, but it gets lost with how everything is negative on here. Most of the “negativity” comes from people who want to enjoy more out of the product, not because they hate it.
Yes the introduction of these new Torment tiers sounded good on paper, but in practice it just makes them feel useless. You can get everything you want in Torment 1 and there is really no reason to go beyond that…other than to say you did. All the things you are gearing up for and numbers you are improving have no payoff.
Regarding Expert mode, if the monsters were actually smarter or there were more variation on monsters, it might make sense…but right now that mode is just more cheese and extraneous. You only needed 2 modes here before lvl 60.
This is one of the big reasons why people loved S5 and are so down on S6. It was a big step back.
Sadly, even with its flaws I feel like release version was better than what we have today.
And an even more annoying group that would eat a dog turd if it said d5 on the side and tell everyone it’s the best thing ever.
Because they have no vision for the game. The just react to the player base enough to get them to buy the next dlc.
Show the vids which hate videos not from streamer but Avid ARPG
Wrong. Most of the hate videos come from very avid ARPG players that are fed up with the way D4 has been handled. You are joking yeah? Show the Vids of those game get roasted to no end with at least 1 year like D4.
You are joking, yeah? Those games especially got absolutely roasted to no end. I am talking about those games getting nuked from orbit for quite awhile. Same with any AAA game that has been awful, looking to score a premium price.
I will not entertaintment empty talk without vid evidence. Compare with something more substance, or I will ignore your next incoming.
Go back to play POE2, D4 is a bad game for you. Don’t waste time in D4 forum, so many POE2 trolls like you spamming in D4 forum instead of spend the time in the game. It is already proven POE2 is a boring game which cant keep players engaged.
Hate is a strong word. Hate is more appropriate for someone who physically assaults someone or things of that nature. Blizzard & developers of D4 are selling a game & here to make a game for people to have fun with. They may need some of your feedback if you want to give it to them but they don’t deserve hate.
To say all of it is disingenuous & inaccurate. That said, yeah it’s sort of a two steps forward 1 step back thing. I’m ngl, it hit pretty hard to come back & find the gutted items and progression I made reset. I spent a lot of time earning that stuff.
It’s not pointless to move up the torment tiers. Moving up torment tiers increases the chances for more items & those items can be ancestrals. So if you want more ancestrals, play in higher tiers.
Toxic positivity is not a real thing. Positive is positive. It’s good. If someone is using the GUISE of positivity in order to control others in any way, that is negative. Therefore the toxicity always comes from negativity. You do not need to convince the developers to improve or change something with being negative. Constructive criticism is enough.
