Devs could we get some clarity on shako/grandfather/andys drops?

So right now these items are so rare they basically might as well not exist (were talking hundreds of thousands of hours per drop something no player will ever do in a season based game).

Two questions: are there specific conditions for these to drop somehow the collective playerbase isnt meeting? And if not and they can drop anywhere in wt4 is the drop rate intentionally that low and whats the rationale behind that?

Any clarity would be appreciated because right nows its a little confusing why more of these arent popping up on reddit, jsp or these forums.

Pez said they’re both in the game. But as far as conditions, yes that’d be nice to know. Either way, these items aren’t good enough to grant the kind of rarity they have. They are BiS, yes, but this kind of rarity should result in an I WIN button, and nothing less. I love the idea of chase items I won’t see unless I legit win at the odds a standard state lottery has. But again, such items should be purposefully game breaking. Not just “good” or even just BiS.

Shako and Grandfather should be dropping more frequently, for what they offer. They should have items that rare, but make some new ones for that rarity slot. And make them over the top good.

Charlie and the Chocolate Factory golden ticket rare and good.

Google is your friend. Welcome to the forum, there is also a forum search function. You are asking questions that have been answered many times over. Good luck in your learning of the internet and also this game. Have fun.

Yeah something has to be going on i just cant see how this would be intentional - my buddy speculates its only from nm tier 100+ and if so thats cool just would be nice to know

shako dropped i saw screenshot and devs confirmed

As far as im aware the only information we have is from a dev stating theyre in the game thus my request for more information

they just extremly rare

Right but the current rarity means you have a better chance of being struck by lightning 17 times consecutively than finding one that cant be intended thats downright insane

it dropped for a asian person

i have the screenshot infront of me but cant post

yay found a link i can post

Drops at 90+, most will never see it.

Yeah i saw that but that doesnt answer my questions at all - nobody on reddit, jsp or these forums has posted theyve found one collectively thats hundreds of thousands of hours of game time.

And given that this game has PvP, they never will.

Can you imagine spending weeks to get the Shako and someone tricks you into the Fields of Hatred. Then, you lose the Shako and all your other gear in seconds!!?

So, until someone has gotten two, they will not post.

i honestly think you will be a tough nut to crack if you have a good rolled one

At last count, a couple days ago, 293 million hours of gametime, to be exact.

You dont lose gear on pvp death in d4, unless of course you are hardcore but that’s a given

he said imagine use your fantasy :stuck_out_tongue:

So two obvious answers then.

One: It’s an incredibly low drop chance… like lower than low.

Two: And this is the one I obviously hope is true… It’s only available as a % drop in nightmare tiers after a certain (very high) level. But since only an extremely low % of players are pushing high nightmare sigils, particularly since the rewards otherwise completely dont scale with level, very very few people are even clearing the content that may drop these items, which could very well result in us not seeing one for days initially.

But I suppose we’ll have to wait and see to know for sure.

yeah i mean it has to be only a certain dungeon level or something otherwise having it be this rare is crazy love a dev to weigh in and provide some clarity

You should know by now Devs will never weigh in nor give details on things like this.
