Damage % vs Intelligence (Skill Damage)

How do these scale vs one another? Im trying to see if I can remove my intelligence (not GA) and replace it with flat damage % from the enchant. I dont need any more intelligence and could use more overall damage if possible.

(Damage %) scales off of your skills damage, which is determined by your intelligence stat largely. But, your intelligence is not scaled by your (All Damage %) stat. if you are considering giving up (Intelligence % or #) for (Damage %), I would suggest otherwise. To add, (Damage %) is a good affix for buffing all of your damage in general, however if you are willing to meet some conditions there are better additive damage stats that go higher. for example (Damage to close enemies %) or (Vulnerable Damage %).

On lightning skills “all damage%” showed no changes at all. That is, I increased all damage by 50% but did not notice a noticeable increase.
So I advise you to double-check, it seems to only apply to physical damage, so it may turn out to be an empty characteristic.

I have already filed a complaint with the technical department, but they think that this is normal.

I tested it empirically by changing a ring with +50% “all damage” to a ring with worse parameters, in the best case, 9-11k damage changed by only 100. Something is broken here. But it doesn’t hurt to compare. Check it out and let me know.

I have the understanding that intelligence is multiplicative damage. Regular damage % is just additive. Getting Int % on ammy and INT on your weapons is the secret sauce. You can never have enough.

If you are using burning damage such as through firewall sorc, you can see your Burning Instinct Legendary damage spike through the roof.

another weird one is the 7% more int, vs a raw INT roll on amulet

i have 2022 int, and the “7% more” is less in total then just a RAW int roll with 2022 int already… making it pointless i believe at least without rolling +int and +%int on 1 amulet, and i am not sure that can even happen… making it be another pointless stat that rolls on amulet

intelligence is multiplicative while %damage is additive.

(intelligence does more per % than %damage)

+Mainstat and +Damage are their own damage buckets, so it’s generally better to have a good balance of both instead of maxing one and min the other.

Simple example:
(1 + 0.5 + 0.5) * (1) = 2
(1 + 0.5) * (1 + 0.5) = 2.25

Additive within the bucket, but the bucket is multiplicative with your damage.

Yea, though I’m pretty sure %Damage shares its bucket with other sources of additive damage. It was one of the changes they made.

Yes but the 7% goes up with masterworking. I think mine is rank 4 with a crit on the % and it is almost 11% so it seems superior now? I think lol. Definitely still wanted my hellbent commander to be the crit but im poor.

%intel gets better the more intel you have stacked too

%damage boost the general damage % additive and the damage over time additive, at least in the case of Necromancers shadow damage.

Not sure if it is the same for fire damage over time for Sorc as well, but it is worth checking.
