Last Epoch got absolutely decimated. I knew all the hype was empty, having played LE in EA.

LE release was Feb 19.
POE Necropolis was march 29.
D4 S4 was may 14.

it’s literally just a matter of time since the season was released.

Yea but Steam is the main platform of those games and they suck there compared to D4

i mean, at the end of the day… who cares?

but yea, LE bad lol :stuck_out_tongue:

Its not an arpg but fallout 76 has more players than D4. This is a small playerbase. Its not like its seeing numbers like helldivers either…

…nothing to be proud of here.

why would anyone be “proud”? if anything, its the company that released the game that could be proud, as s4 is a success so far ^^

How can a game that’s going on 11 years old, be holding just over half the player count as a game that just hit it’s first anniversary? PoE2 should have Blizzard worried if that’s the case.

Well Poe has 11 years of development, should be a better game, but doesnt have more players than D4 even on STEAM so we should question why

So a particular game with a new season and a new event has more active players currently on Steam than games in the same genre that don’t have any new content at this very moment.

I mean that’s great and all, but are you going to post numbers when those other games come out with more content as well and their numbers spike?

I don’t get posts like these. Whether it’s for or against D4. Yes, numbers fluctuate all the time. Play the game or don’t, this pettiness between both sides spouting numbers is getting old.

People are coping.

A fraction of D4 playerbase is on steam.

Where 100% of PoE and LE is on steam.

Poe is honestly hot garbage, just go on twitch and look at d4 then poe streams.
Most of poe streams are just sitting in their town looking at their gear and paragon instead of playing in the “Action” of their ARPG

It’s because one game is at the tail end of a league, and the other just started a heavily marketed season that’s selling point is a redesigned loot system. Of course that’ll draw some people back.

When this season looses it’s luster, and PoE starts it’s next, will you be back on here talking about how PoE has more players? Look at the history of both games on Steam, you can clearly see one dominates the other at the beginning of each of their own cycles.

I don’t use Steam for PoE. Neither do my friends.

I played LE in early access and returned it asap. The UI was super jank and several setting options in the main menus didn’t work.was surprised with it release hype.

At least for PoE that is not the case, PoE has a fair amount of non-steam based players, not so long ago the player base on their own launcher was greater than the steam one, I am not even sure this changed. Also, what Paragon???

On other subject, great feat for D4, even in successful leagues/seasons it is not easy to get this much of player retention on the 3rd week of it, specially when you have the game also available in Gamepass, so yeah, I would say the gane had great success this season.

In fact it got the peak of concurrent players three weeks after the launch, which is crazy for diablo standards.

And 5.5k of those are bots.

as someone stated LE and POE steam is the main platform. for D4 bnet, xbox and playstation are the main platforms. d4 sold like 30k steam copies, so it shouldnt have more players than those games

Umm. Okay. Pretty sure anyone can check numbers if they want so don’t get the point. Enjoy the game or don’t.

Okay.

Yeah. Was a blast (to me) but needs some tweaking. Imagine that: an ARPG that needs to implement feedback, etc… oh wait!

-Before I close my reply: Where I am coming from is not meant to belittle you but I just don’t get why people feel the need to copy/paste player numbers etc. I can see these things if I look them up and it always feels… odd. Like… what’s your goal, exactly? Is it validation or some such?

lets be real! D4 had way more of a player base day one! and if they launched the game with a season they would of keep majority of the player base

like over 20mil players played d4 on launch and now look at it

the super Nerf patch didnt help at all

and no balance day one or over nerfing builds before launch

exploits and game breaking bugs! like who tested the game before the game released

Makes sense. The majority of ggg are working on a game that will decimate d4, not poe1

i agree am not really into PoE 1 because of the graphics

but PoE 2 i think has better graphics then D4

the only thing D4 has thats pretty cool is the story and world bosses! wish D4 focused on more a raid 4man or 8man with a world boss at the end

or make dungeons with unique bosses and loot like wow instead copy pasta save guy get keys run here and back
