Created characters have nothing to do with how well the game is doing. Average time played per account is the metric you want.
Only 2 metrics matter. One being the sales of a game that show how well the marketing was recieved and the ROI Blizz had. The other being the average time a player spends in the game, so that you can gauge game health.
Well there is a third but its just for stockholders.

probably average about 3 characters per player…
only 7,800~ characters reached level 100.
probably only 2.3 million players started S1.
and 900,000 players probably quit within a week. Leaving about 1.4 million active players.
These are probably the likely numbers.

Most of the D4 viewership is watching exilecon because everyone that streams D4 is watching exilexcon too. It’s not that a crazy of a concept you know?

Tbh its not a really entertaining game to watch live.
Besides Twitch is largely just used for e-girls to advertise their onlyfans in the just chatting section nowadays.
I personally stopped using it entirely in favor of Youtube anyway.

Diablo and by extension ARPG’s as a whole are, in my opinion very boring to watch and the only reason I’d watch someone play one is because I actually like to watch that specific streamer.

Twitch viewers is not a metric of the game’s success or decline.
Diablo is an older franchise and many D4 players are most likely older and not even into Twitch or streamer culture.

Naw, the interest is still there, people are just getting tired of listening to most of the streamer b!tch moan and complain… it gets old fast. Even if there is a reason, after 3-4 streams of the same crap, people just stop watching.
As for the ones still playing, they won’t admit to it cause then they get bashed and bullied cause they didn’t join the hate train or popular opinion train… key word popular…

With the small changes, plus the boost, renown kinda completed itself this time as I was doing nightmare and wish dungeons. I do understand where they are coming from though… not everyone has the privilege of being able to no life d4 like me.
