D4 - feedback (+suggestions)

Bad:

  • Combat text (“immune”, “dodge” etc.) is too large.
Also I want to be able to turn off this text in settings just like the damage text.

  • Evade skill has a clunky animation on some classes.

  • No “VFX Dynamic Player Skills” like it was mentioned before in the Dev blog.

  • Female necromancer always coughs when she walk (cough sound). It’s annoying.

  • Poor skill choices. (e.g. Necromancer has only two Curses in the skill tree.)

  • I can’ t hide (transmog) two-handed weapon on my Barbarian back, when I want to use only one-handed weapons build. It looks clunky overloaded with these long planks on his back.

  • I do not understand what this “lucky strike” does. Need some tip.

  • No scrolls (teleport, identify, leave dungeon etc).

Suggestions:

  • Transmog window (alt+click on item) in which I can see how the item looks.
  • Notes journal like in D3 where I can read and listen all collected notes etc.
  • Possibility to hide two-handed weapon via Transmog system.
  • Possibility to hide special combat text (“immune”, “dodge” etc.)

Good:

  • I very much love the feature to turn off the damage text and health bars above monsters. The gameplay looks beautiful without any text (like in D2 ^_^).

  • Also I like the system with Health Potions.

Just addressing 2 of the bad items
Lucky strike is weird. So say a skill has a base lucky strike of 50% and you pick something up that says “Lucky strike 3% chance to execute injured elites” You take that 3% and multiply it by the 50% so really you have a 1.5% chance to execute…I think.
And scrolls were actually removed all together. No need for identify scrolls since everything drops pre identified. TP scrolls are infinite (T key). And escape dungeon scrolls are as well. (E Key then left side of the wheel). Even identify scrolls in D2 was obsolete once you got Cain unlocked. Unless you were end game grinding then you kept them in your cube and identified 1 piece at a time and threw it back on the ground if it wasn’t perfect.
