D4 beta feedback. UI & Item drops. +misc

#1. UI needs some massive changes. My character screen doesnt need to take up 1/3rd of the screen, and I feel like more stats should be displayed on the character UI. Having to click on some menu inside a menu inside my character UI just to see what my resistances or crit chance is feels really bad. Also many menus/UIs takes up ENTIER SCREEN so I cant even see my health pool when i got them up?! If i open the map or I open the bigger skill tree or I open my friend list or I open my progression etc it takes up FULL screen?? Only UI menu that felt okay to me was the esc screen.

#2. It drops too much items & legendarys. First 1-2 days I felt like it dropped too much stuff in general but at day 3 I started to run out of gold and felt the need again to pick up items to sell for gold but I think that could just be changed with gold prices tweaking. Anyways in just a matter of 2-3 days I felt like I had pretty much every legendary effect available in the beta and not only that, I had SEVERAL of them, it didnt take long before I had top rolls or close to top rolls on many of the legendary effects I wanted and this felt really bad to me. I really hope the drops were turned up super high cus its beta and its important to test all the legendary effects but ye, if game comes out and I end up finding everything I want in just a couple of days then thats gonna kill the game for me really fast. (I hope it takes 1-2 months at least before I got all the legendary effects with high rolls that Im looking for, not 1-2 days…)

Theres a few minior things that I felt could be improved like:
-Making health pots easier to track(how many I have available) (again UI problem)
-What my buffs do/are called(many were just a icon) (again UI problem)
-Wish there was more options in the skill tree.
-Wish the inventory was bigger.
-Make it easier to see what legendary effect can go on what item slot.
-Give me a key bind that I can use while I mouse over a item on the ground to see its stats.
-Found my self having to run back and forth in dungeons a lot. (backtracking/layout issues)
-Wish there was a easy way to see when a event will spawn(like a respawn timer on world boss. There was a event up in the north west area that sometimes started and I had no idea what time it would start(there started a short timer of like 5mins right before it started but would be nice with like a 2hr+ timer for stuff like that i guess)

Overall I really enjoyed the game and I think this can be a insanely good game, I really like the open world, the random world events, and the stronghold events etc, I could go on and on about how amazing the combat feels/looks/sounds but this post is alrdy long so Im just gonna end it here!

I had no problems with the UI. Maybe, maybe the char stats could be the first choice over mats, but that is about all.

The rare drop seemed ok at the start, as I found myself short of for new rares with barb (actually had half blue items up to 15 lvl), which is a feeling I last had with D2… Later there are two rares with every elite kill, which makes me still excited (as my gear was crap), but I can imagine it being less.

For legendary drops, I think 1-2/hour is reasonable, this is not D3 legendaries, but just very random build tuning rares. Just another layer of complexity.

The overwhelming feedback I’ve heard from nearly everyone critiquing this game is the UI.

Including my post of like 45 UI improvements I’d like to see. Be interesting to see if anything changes between now and later.

I was getting like 10 an hour. It was stupid high. Felt just like D3.

UI is acceptable (except they need to put stats on a separate tab, not with materials).

The rare/legendary droprate needs to WAY lower. Hopefully this is only in the beta to help players test more gear.

After 1 hour in the beta I didnt care about magic (blue) items at all
