Does D4 support auto-HDR at all? I can’t for the life of me figure out how to make the picture not look grey. The Windows HDR Calibration Tool at least comes with adequate instructions, unlike w/e D4 has.
They said they would fix it in March and never got back to it. I believe it works on consoles. Almost like the game was made for consoles…
To make the picture not grey, you need to enable HDR in the game settings, then click Calibrate Brightness, and set your black, white points and the brightness. If it goes back to grey, go to the settings again and calibrate again - it was glitchy like that on launch, not sure about now.
Not fixed.
Jesus I’m going to buy on PS5 right now just to see what people are complaining about. It can’t be that bad.
Just hope you know if you download even 1 MB Sony won’t refund you. The PS5 version isn’t better than the PC version like some people suggest.
Yeah PlayStation is a horrible platform that way, but I was gonna couch coop anyway. This is going to be interesting to compare, because on PC and on PS5 I have almost identical displays - LG C1 on PS5 and LG C2 on PC, and on PC D4 looks decent enough (still kinda poor HDR support, but bearable).
I’m on an LG C2 for PC too and one thing that really helped me was using a warmer color temperature in the color settings on the TV. Some areas still have an intense fog effect that can look greyish but it helped a lot.
Yep, on PS5 it’s worse than on PC.
Maybe it’s because Scosglen is grey all the time from fog, but I calibrated my HDR in D4 and I wasn’t impressed. D3 looked better than this with Auto-HDR.
It’s really annoying no joke. Almost like there’s a glare constantly. I had to turn the Highlight on my character to be able to keep up with him in big fights. My neighbor has D4 on his PS4 and it doesn’t have that problem like my PS5. Did they actually play this on a console with HDR when they were testing the game???
