Pressing Z to get on the mount makes the game crash, this only started happening after the patch!

In the last patch (not so far this latest patch, I was indeed running into this several times a day completely at random. I’d start a dungeon and be half way through and crash to desktop (and the fun ‘sorry your character is being saved’ notice comes up. One time I was running a vault and this happened mid vault with no warning.

I’ve never had it at the character screen, but definitely mid game playing even at a city about to move.

Can’t start the game as it seizes up while playing the intro splash videos, or just after them.

same here. keep getting crashes as i’m in nm dungeons. very irritating

yeah… i’ll NEVER trust this game enough to even attempt playing hc. that’s got to suck though fr. my condolences

i was having that exact issue last patch as well

Just fixed my crashing issues by replacing the 2 DirectStorage files in the game dir with the current builds from 1.22. Now the game is solid.

please explain more step by step, need to fix this

https(colon)//nuget(dot)info/packages/Microsoft.Direct3D.DirectStorage/1.2.2

Go into /native/bin/x64 and grab both files. (dstorage.dll and dstoragecore.dll)
Open the D4 game dir, and rename these 2 files as .bak. Copy the 2 new files to this dir.

Or, you can just rename these 2 files to .bak and run the game w/o DirectStorage support
