I don’t even know how can they break this every other patch.
Dpad will twitch around in inventory, X will always trigger chatbox when you try to attack or slecet items on floor.
It’s quite literally unplayable with controller right now…
I’m one of those players who can’t play on mouse due to ergonomic issues… Please Blizzard, you can’t keep firing the useful people and kept all the garbage.
Have you tested your controller on other games? I only play with controller and I don’t have those problems.
Yes, I tested with a second controller too, only Diablo is broken

I’m using dualsense, I tried two different dualsense controller and neither of them works.
Neither of my PS5 controllers have issues
It works in your inventory? Dpad is going wild, it just goes in random direction and both dualsense are updated to latest driver too.
X also doesn’t work, it keeps triggering chat instead of attacking
I use an Xbox elite 2 and don’t have any of those problems. One thing that is off this season for me is picking up loot. If any enemy or destructible is in the area, and I mean they can even be across the screen, it will cast the skill instead of pickup.
No issue on xbox, but i have seen pc player using PS controller complain

Might be a dualsense issue. As I said above, I use an Xbox elite 2 and don’t have any of those issues. I play on pc as well. I do have an aim ps5 controller I can try and see if I get issues. Won’t be until later in the week though.

I’d guess drivers or an update from blizz like you said. The sound is broken on xbox.
I’ll see tomorrow if I can get my aim controller going and see if it has issues. I’m sorry you can’t play. I know that is frustrating af.
I recommend getting an xbox or 3rd party controller just because you say you have to use a controller and this is a Microsoft game so it might be best to have an Xbox controller to make sure it works

also make sure you don’t have steam screwing up your controller. even if steam is just on in the background it likes to screw up controllers elsewhere, it tends to not play nicely with ps controllers

Many people do. I do because I have disabilities in my hands that make using keyboard and mouse too difficult and painful. Nothing wrong with using a controller on pc. Diablo 4 specifically supports it.
i cant, it hurts a lot after about 20 minutes lol
for normal typing somehow it doesnt hurt at all, but when i am gaming it hurts so much its not even funny, controller doesnt have this issue for me
Close steam. That’s been known to cause issues with controllers.
all i do is play with controller and i have zero issues. maybe it is in fact your controller?
