Left stick drift/input errors on both of my PS and xbox controllers
Tends to happen the most on the map screen and in dungeons
Independent controller test website used. all registering fine
Fully researched all work arounds and supposed fixes. Nothing has fixed the problem
many comments from people in forums saying they have been in touch with controller developers and they say its a game bug
In just 2 weeks I fell in love with this game, my first ever diablo game but this ongoing controller bug has got to be sorted out. its been mentioned for over a year now…?
Its such a shame. I bought xbox app subscription especially to play D4. I wanted to buy season passes and maybe the odd cosmetic but it looks like i’ll have to stop playing
I just reached lvl 70 rouge. A lot of the time it works fine but once it starts, it wont stop. It’s getting more frequent, so the game is becoming unplayable
Please fix this problem, I love this game and wanted to check out other classes
I use PS5 controller in PC diablo 4 game with come with battlenet. I don’t experience this issue. The last time controller drift was due to hardware which i have replaced them. Are you using Steam client?

Its not a hardware issue. I play other games for the same length of time and they both work perfectly

I’ve tried using it through steam, it doesn’t solve it like people say. Using DS4 doesn’t fix it, ReWASD needs paid version and still has issues. The suggestion of unplugging all other usb hardware doesn’t fix it. Disabling some settings in windows options doesn’t fix it. It’s not a driver issue, because it happens the exact same with my xbox controller
What I mean, are you playing D4 via battlenet or Steam client as D4 release in both platform. I read your thread carefully and I cant replay your error as I am using controller too. So the only thing I can do is isolate the root cause to see any difference between me and you.
My PS5 controller is Dual shock without the magnetic stick, not the latest high end version.
It’s through battlenet client but I have tried using it through steam client as well, after seeing people recommending it to fix the problem
As you mentioned you have tested with independent website and found no drift, and also tested with both Xbox and PS controller which suppose to use different drivers. I think the root cause is much deeper. I could not share any more information with you other than my PS5 non magnetic controller has no drift issue in D4 battlenet and also no issue in other games in the Steam client. I hope Blizzard will be able to provide you a solution.
