Since last update, I have 4 controllers that experience drift with Diablo4 only, making it unplayable, teleporting is impossible, bring up world map and cursor takes off to the left. All attempts to resolve issue have failed, (reset controller reinstall game and play with in game settings) Other games do not have this problem, obviously a game issue. Please fix ASAP.
It’s 100% a game issue not your controller. Ignore anyone who says otherwise. Yes drift can happen if your controller is dirty or just bad QC from the manufacturer. But I’ve tested both of my brand new Xbox elite series 2 controllers with the third party gamepad-tester website. Controller drift is only up or down on the left stick. Seems universal across both consoles and PC and both xbox and PS controllers. And ONLY happens while I’m playing D4.

Thought i was going crazy with stick drifting to the left… It only happens in D4 on PC when I use an xbox controller.
Same issue for me. Battle.net keeps blaming controllers. It does this with my pro controller for my switch, and my two NEW xbox x series controllers (purchased for my PC one month ago , opened it to play diablo , and the second one because I wanted to make sure that the controller was not the issue when blizzard told me it was for sure the controller and not them the issue )
Drifting , emotes impossible , teleporting barely possible, trading, etc … so many technical issues because of this… I spent hours trying to fix it , read articles , sent emails for controller warranties, hours on the phone , spent lots of money for controllers…
I did my part. Blizzard, when are you going to do yours intead of making up excuses!!!
Games in this price range should not have issues , or at least , maybe believe your clients when they tell you about a PROBLEM … Ive spent hours on the phone with controller manufacturers and they said that the game was the issues , and you guys say it them. Im here buying all of your products and playing tag between multiple companies because you refuse to acknowledge the issue!!!

I dont think its a drift issue as much as its a false input issue.
Ive never seen my character (the actual model) moving around on its own like i do typically when theres a controller drift issue.
What i have seen a few times, and guessing im not the only one is when in a menu where you are controlling a cursor state, it will switch on its own like a deliberate input.
Examples:
Selecting items from my inventory to sell, the cursor/ focus sometimes on its own, switches back to the shop
Same as above with the blacksmith menus
Selecting a glyph to socket into a paragon board, cursor will sometimes just move to the prior glyph
There are also reports of controller button just failing to detect input. My guess is its all related to controller support just not being 100% yet.
Well what I did was submit a claim via Walmart allstate as I bought the extra coverage and submitted a claim. About $65 dollars coming back to me and I keep the controller. It’s not a fix but makes me feel better.
Wow, this is happening to me also - thought it was the controller and did a reset, problem still persists. Curiously it only effects the white controller, the black one never has any drift issues in Diablo IV.

Same issue here on ps5, happening on both dual sense controllers. While moving down direction on the joystick my character seems to want to go up, which makes the toon stutter.
I thought it was joystick drift initially, but while I was using the d-pad in my character inventory menu, it kept forcing cursor to go up even while I was pressing down on the d-pad, so it definitely seems like a software issue.

Since the patch my character drifts n I know it’s not my controller cuz it wks great on other games

100% a game issue. I went through 2 generic xbox controllers for pc and then bit the bullet and got myself a Steelseries magnetic Stratus Duo. Love the magnetic sticks but the left one still drifts… but ONLY on diablo. it’s frustrating af.

100% the game. I turned off a controller while my char was slowly walking and he kept moving.Its happens on two brand new controllers that still have zero issue with every other game.Blizzard needs to fix this bullzhit.
