Can anyone help me? I’m playing on pc with an Xbox controller, but when I’m standing still and press the “A” button, it always opens up the Chatbox and prevents me from doing everything, including Using/Changing abilities, Changing Equipments, And interact dialogues, I can’t seem to find a way to change the button on keymapping, I tried contacting the support, Uninstalling&Installing, and still nothing
using xbox xcontroller as well and dont have this issue. Eventually you should go to the controller settings and reset to default settings.
sounds like yiu have the controller mapped to the enter key… do you have any controller mapping software going on?
I did reset the controller settings to default, even alot of times before, and still nothing :(, I also don’t have any or ever installed a third party software for the controller or anything else, maybe the xbox app and steam? What’s do you guys use or the supposed button is to open the Chatbox?? On Controller
are you playing on steam version, or have a controller mapping program? potentially either one might be overriding d4 mapping. else I’m not sure what happening for you.
I play with both xbox-1 and ps-5 controller and not had an issues.

I am playing on Battle net version, and so it turns out I think I do have a mapping program, I think it’s the Xbox Accesories App, and it does say that the A button is mapped to enter, But I don’t think theres a way to change the map here, I tried updating the system creating new profile, and still nothing
So I find out I can change the controller layout on steam, and the default for “A” Is the “Enter” key, I changed the map to “2” as it seems to be the button for the ability on keyboard, But I’m not sure if this will be good in the long terms for other games I have though, Is this the only way?
My bad the “2” key is “Y” on default, and “A” is “Left-Click” but it’s unbindable to that
hmm interesting. It been awhile that i had this problem, but was with another game i played ff14 and I was using it own launcher, and steam kept overriding it. so Idr how you do it but can disable steam from connecting to other games that aren’t being run threw steam.
Never used xbox accessories app, only thing i think of; if you don’t need or use it try uninstalling it and restart pc see if that fixes.

I have the same issue, if I have steam and the bnet open I get double inputs via the controller. Either turn off the xbox controller input on steam or just close steam if you want to play via the bnet app.

Clear out the steam “desktop” controller profile. Otherwise if steam is open but you are playing a non steam game it’ll interfere with your inputs.
