Update: the Conduit Shrine effect still exists on the Staff of Ahavarion, making it largely unusable.
Who uses that weapon anyway?
But I digress, The season is almost over. I wouldn’t worry about it too much. just wait 5 more days. I mean, I really REALLY Don’t see them breaking Lycander Spear (because of the conduit shrine affect) for 5 days till next season…
Anything else people want to complain about?
Nobody — because the Conduit Shrine effect makes it unusable.
Wait for them to fix it in Season 10? No thanks — I’m an Eternal player. It’s never too late for bug fixes.
Also, where do you get off trying to gatekeep what feedback Blizzard is allowed to act on or recieve? If they decide to fix something because I reported it — good. That’s their decision to make, not yours.
I’d say IMHO a very small amount of people use that weapon. Should they fix it? Of course.
Is that how long you think it’ll take them. Well that’s unfortunate for you. Maybe it might be time to use another weapon.
I didn’t know you played Eternal, I feel bad for ya there.
How am I gate keeping anything? I don’t have the power to delete posts/suggestions. I can And will only provide any counter I see fit if I don’t agree, Just as much as anybody can complain about anything.
They complain, I’ll comment if I feel like it, that’s where I “Get Off” as you put it.
And… lol AND if they decide to fix this issue season 11 (or further in the future) then that’s Their choice, not yours.
See how that goes both ways?
You’re absolutely right — anyone can comment, and that includes me clarifying why the staff is unusable and pushing for a fix. That’s not something that needs your permission.
But let’s not pretend your original reply wasn’t dismissive. Saying “Who uses that weapon anyway?” and “just wait 5 more days” is a way of undermining the issue. You weren’t offering a counterpoint — you were minimizing the relevance of the bug entirely. If you genuinely want to contribute, cool. But don’t act surprised when someone pushes back on that kind of tone.
And yes — if Blizzard fixes it in Season 11, great. But that doesn’t mean it shouldn’t be reported now. That’s how it even gets on their radar.
I never said it needed permission.
The Dev’s in a campfire chat knows and has commented on the Shrine affect at least. The Lycander Staff might as well be useless until they fix the shine.
The “Dev’s” know, now how long it’ll take them is any bodies guess. Probably past season 10 I’d easily wager.
I’m not trying to undermine anything. 5 more days, do you think they are gonna fix the issue in 5 more days right before the new season? I’m thinking logically here.
My Counter point is waiting 5 more days (and or) Using → Another Weapon <—
Yes, a bug the dev’s already know about (the shrine).
Act surprised? LOL. I’m not even surprised at all. I shouldn’t be, Are you?
They Know about it.
-
- I want to say it’s not a BIG DEAL * * However it can/is a big deal for those in eternal who do use it.
Until the Dev’s Fix the Conduit shrine issue, people who use the Lycander spear as a weapon are just gonna have to use Something else.
Is that a better Non Dismissive tone for you?
Appreciate the follow-up. Just to be clear: I’m not using the Staff of Lycander — I’m testing it. That’s why I noticed this issue and commented in the first place. This isn’t just some random complaint — it’s a result of actual in-game testing, which, frankly, is part of how bugs and balance issues get surfaced in the first place.
You’re right that the devs are aware of the shrine issue — but that doesn’t mean further reporting is pointless. The community re-raising known problems is often what determines how quickly something gets prioritized. Eternal players, especially, don’t get to “wait for the next season.” That’s kind of the whole point.
Your updated tone is more constructive, yeah. And if your point was simply “there’s no quick fix incoming,” that’s fair — I just don’t think opening with “who even uses that weapon” set the right tone for a productive discussion.
Either way, I’m not here to argue — just to help surface issues that are affecting item viability, whether it’s obscure or not.
mmhmm.
Oh It’s Not? I honestly to the point thought it was. I’m just as easily tired of the complaints in general, which is why I thought your topic was just another complaint (as in, the game is too grindy, the boss’s are too hard, the loot sucks, Spiritborn still sucks etc etc…
There is a place where bugs can be reported about the game on the forums.
There is a place where bugs can be reported about the game on the forums.
OF course you can post it here, though it may get lost among other topics easily enough.
I mean I don’t know if there is a quick fix. I Love the Lycander spear. It was 1 of my first mythics I ever gotten…in season 2. Then it went Downhill ever since. As I’ve said I didn’t know your topic was based upon Eternal, let alone your Intentions was just to let people Know about the weapon not working properly.
The Topic at it’s base is nowhere near Obscure (now that I know your intentions).
I hope they fix it a.s.a.p. I doubt it though.
On a note I said to a greater extent, I do Now apologize for coming off as Dismissive.
I went that route because I thought this was just another mindless complaint by trolls again.
Sorry, My bad.
All good, I get it — I see those low-effort complaints all the time too and I try to push back on them myself too, and yeah, with the season ending soon they’re about to flood in again, ugh. No worries, I will likely be in the trenches with you next time
