I’m so tired of the amount of freezing and crashing this season.
I spend 40% of my time waiting for the game to unfreeze or reload and I’m actually enjoying or was enjoying the grind and making new build for my barb. I want to play hardcore but I don’t even dare touch it due to the amount of times I’ve been killed because the game freezes in the middle of combat. I also love how fast the horses are now but the game can’t even handle loading areas or enemies that fast so it freezes more.

I have a lot of patience and copium but it only goes so far…
I have a RTX 3060 and 15.92 RAM, I shouldn’t be having this many issues. I run Elden ring on max graphics and still keep above 60 FPS.

Is your cross play on?

I turned it on to play with a console friend and it was making me rubber band hard.

I turned it off and nothing changed, I even put all my graphics on low and the freezing and crashing still didn’t improve. All my drivers are updated too, I’ve tried everything.

Its ok you can go buy a wow mount in the diablo 4 store to help relieve some stress

Give it another week, if it’s not fixed by then I’d say cut your losses and play something else until it’s fixed if ever. Sadly it’s the weekend doubt we’ll get any hot fixes between now and Monday.

And the funny thing is the Oct 20th patch that they released supposedly “increased stability”
I feel no such thing :expressionless:
Hopefully it does get fixed but I’m not holding my breath

I get these hard locks now for 2 seconds or more. Intel 12k series 3060ti, 32 GB RAM, SSD…

S2 is actually running worse than before. I didnt get these locks before. One lasted 20 seconds or more. I almost killed the game to restart D4, but it eventually resumed…WTH is up with the poor performance/lock ups.

No. My crossplay is not on.

Where I have to End Task and restart the game. Very annoying.

Turn your graphics settings all to low, fps capped at 60. I am sure you are not doing this. Worst case change your desktop resolution to 1080p if your running a 4k monitor.

Do you keep any other programs open that utilize your GPU at the same time? I’ve found that D4 basically wants ALL your VRAM, and it’s not content to share.

I was at first but then I tried with only D4 open and it was a little better but it still would freeze and crash, just not as aggressive.

Damn, that sucks. I seem to see a lot of reports of issues from people with some 3xxx series cards as well as the 4090 for some reason. Maybe it’s something altogether different that’s the problem, but it feels like a bit of a trend. :frowning:

Thats one of my biggest issues is the freezing. I can’t even enjoy the game and I’m having way more fun with this season. I’ll have to jump back into Destiny 2. At least the game runs smoothly.

Same here I have been enjoying this season, but I can’t stand the constant freezing/crashing every 1-5min anymore…sucks cause I want to play but don’t want to open the game anymore cause of this.
