Now that it seems like the rats are abandoning ship, fix the PVP for those of us who are left and implement the crafting system for rings, amulets, etc. from Diablo 2, so the gems will be useful for something. I’m at a point in the season where it’s hard for me to do things in the game, but if there was a fairer PVP and decent crafting it would be a different thing. In D2 I spent hours and hours crafting amulets…
Man, I love PvP but GOODLUCK in your quest to make PvP great again.
The problem is the majority of D4 players hate or don’t care about PvP. I would say this is where even haters of D4 agree with lovers of D4.
It’s one of those things where this is a lost cause to even think about. Don’t bother.
Those people you say hate PVP in Diablo 4, they play 2 weeks of the season and leave, but the reality is different, more people play PVP in Diablo 4 than you think.pvp is the end game
PvP was a lot of fun during the pre-season and Season 1—it became my endgame. I would rush to max level just to out-level others and camp in the PvP zones. I spent countless days in those zones.
There’s actually a simple way to fix PvP now, though some might disagree. Either implement a damage cap in PvP or give everyone something like 900% damage reduction (or whatever value prevents players from dying in just a few hits).
Ok goodluck with that. Let me know if these PvP players will be heard by devs at all. Ping me when you see an improvement to the PvP system in D4.
Well, it’s been leaked that they want to start a clan war and fix the arena with skill blocking, but they said they had to fix thousands of other things first xd
They need to get rid of the current pvp zone. Right now it’s wasted space on the map. Get rid of it, add a new zone over it.
Then make pvp a place you can zone into. You walk into a portal and are in magic pvp land.
Wasn’t that how Diablo 3’s PvP worked? I barely remember the details—did they scrap it afterward? I recall actually having fun with it. Was there a capture-the-flag mode too? It’s been so long that my memory is a bit fuzzy.
There was some npc you talked to and I think you went to a brawler arena.
I am always in the PvP zones doing whispers, plus its good exp and I have had decent luck with the seething abomination drops. (plus I need to get all that mount stuff still)
Always in there on t4. I have only seen like 2 people, and they avoid other players like the plague. Weekends, weekday evenings, its all the same. Empty.
I dunno what you are talkin about man lol
Here’s a crazy idea: what if, once a week, you talk to an NPC and get dropped into a “Heroes of the Storm”-style battle arena with one of two teams? The entire open map would be the battleground, with each region controlled by one team. Your team would need to capture enemy strongholds and, eventually, their city. Oops, wrong type of game!
If all rats are abandoning ship, why Blizzard bother to invest dev cost to fix the PVP. Shutdown the server to save the electricity bill is the best business decision.
Each season PvP has gotten worse, I love PvP as well but it’s now more imbalanced then ever before. I think they forgot about about PvP when they did the stat squish cause the numbers don’t make sense. Every build one shots you, it’s come down to who hits first. Tested out many scenarios with clan members, you deal absolutely no damage to trash mobs yet you one shot a player no prob. Firewall sorc used to be u had a small window to get to them now it’s insta kill yet same build and setup can’t even take out the trash mobs in the zone. Rogue also will just one shot, same thing can’t kill the abomination. I’ve tried a SB as well, to make it fair against other classes took off all the paragon nodes, and legendary affix’s, couldn’t deal any dmg to trash mobs yet I could one shot players. There’s still no counter for thorns, Druid can go immortal. The list goes on and on with the issues. They can’t even get pve right. Still hoping one day they’ll do something about PvP zones, it was great in season 0, when there where people to hunt down and it wasn’t a one shot fest
If this developer team had any sense in them, they would have definitely allocate resources towards pvp and make it competitively viable. But they released the freakin’ Gauntlet instead, which was so bad they had to discontinue almost immediately.
If it was up to me, pvp would be flourishing in D4. The foundations were there, they chose to let it rot like the majority of the game. Meh.
Never will happen…they just broke this game.
This is/was Warhammer. I had a melee DoK that was fun as hell to play. I think PvP is such an easy “fix” or addition/option for end game. A simple capture the flag mechanic to get started would be useful to gauge interest. No need to spend tons of resources on it.
The problem of course is balance…but if you make it insatnced seperate zone PvP you could balance w/out screwing up PvE…
“more fairer PVP” you mean like more balanced?
Bro do you even play the game?
You are asking cook to prepare most difficult meal when he is not able to cover bread with butter
If you like PvP with fantasy classes you could play Guild Wars 2.
You have many PvP Maps and Modes and also one Big Map where you can defend castles do sieges etc… its awesome. Try it.
wouldnt you need players that play to be able to pvp them?
For a long time I thought that it didn’t matter that d4’s pve was mediocre because the game had pvp zones and good pvp could be what sets it apart from other arpg competition (similar to how d2’s itemization and pvp carried it in comparison to d3 or poe etc). However, despite early dev work on the pvp zones, the d4 pvp has sadly been all but abandoned and we are left with a game that has mediocre itemization and pvp.
