Where is the data? Show us what you are looking at. It’s time to back up your claims and most of us (at least I will shut up about how bad this game is and leave). I would like to know where you are getting this information from and what the information is, as well as the metrics that you feel are important and why?
Nothing about this post goes against the community standards. However, blizzard will remove this and likely ban me, but whatever.
I don’t know why you’re so butthurt about him saying ‘vocal minority.’ He said it in the context of they want to listen to the vocal minority as well. But you all heard ‘vocal minority’ and that’s the only part you quote in your post so you can pretend to be all misunderstood.
You are a vocal minority. How many users do you think frequently post on this forum? Actively. And how many of those do you think agree with you?
How many do you think there are on reddit, facebook, twitter, that actively post about the game and agree with you? Other sites?
There are 12 million players. You’re not even close to a majority.
He said they look at data, and I would like to understand their point of view on the data as well as see the metrics myself. It’s not going to happen, but you never know until you try.
Vocal minority is an idiotic term alongside “unironically” and “honestly” and “complaining” that have no more meaning anymore, people just throw them around.
They look at data but they also want to consider the feedback of the vocal minority.
One example that comes to my mind is the ‘chair’ that was by the blacksmith in Cerrigar. The evilest chair in all of existence. There were posts here about it, there were definitely a number of posts on the subreddit about it. I haven’t bothered following anywhere else.
They removed that (I don’t think it was even mentioned in the patch notes) in 1.04 or 1.1, or something like that.
Thanks. I am not really hung up on it. I just want to see the numbers. I guess it doesn’t matter anyway, because they could make them up. So I might as well pack it in. Cheers.
That will never happen lol. Although, I too would love to see this data. Its to bad that this game isnt sold on Steam at least then we could see some metrics.
Reposting topics that have been moderated is against the rules. You know that. You were told why the first thread was an issue. That you did not get suspended means the mods were just sweeping up and warning you. When you intentionally break the rules twice that is usually a bad idea.
You already got a thorough explanation of the survey systems, and how to opt in for User Research if you want a larger chance than just being a random Blizzard email out of millions.
Simple math shows that the forum goers here are in fact the minority, whether we’re vocal or not.
Here’s the total number of users on the D4 fora:
Diablo 4 has sold several million copies. The total forum user count is just over 225 thousand. Regardless of Rod Fergusson’s rhetoric (or ours for that matter), numerically we are in fact a minority. And once you factor in that only a tiny fraction of that 225k are regular posters are at TL 2 or above, it becomes even more apparent just how much of a minority we are:
A mere 6700, rounding up.
I know it doesn’t do anything for our feelings and whatnot, but the facts are the facts.
Yes, the json trick works to show the group data in a human readable format vs. scrolling through endless lists just like it works for personal Battle.net data for each player.
FWIW, the Reddit users are also a minority relative to the total number of purchases.
Actually, I changed the title to something that wasn’t calling him out and you still pulled the post. So you’re wrong there, but whatever. Also, it was not made clear that reposting a banned topic that was corrected in order to meet the guideliness, was a violation. Cheers.
But now that we know, it doesn’t make a difference because you’re still going to /flex aren’t you?
Cheers! I’ve been banned 4 times on this forum already for simply speaking my mind. Never have I been banned on any other forums I’ve ever been on and I’ve said way worse things than truths. I’ve also had a significant amount of posts shadow deleted too lol.
Here’s the real kicker, the people not on the forum are even more angry with the game than the people posting on the forum. They’ve just given up hope entirely.
The forum (99% negative feedback and 1% white knighting) is the same as the playerbase (99% negative and 1% fake positive). Just because it’s a smaller size doesn’t mean it isn’t a sample. That’s what a sample size is.
