Buying Duriel mats for real money

Is it cheating to spend real money on mats to summon duriel?

I have never done it, but I know some who have. I am on the fence on it.

If time is money, then what really is the difference? And the ramifications of RMTs is a broken economy, but is it cheating? I think if Blizzard really cared, they would not turn a blind eye to all the websites dedicated to selling in game objects.

It is cheating and against the ToS to exploit the Dupe. Purchasing those mats is cheating by proxy.

I dont know if blizz can determine if the mats are duped or not (probably), but it is just best not to do it.

Regardless of what type of offense it is, RMT is prohibited by Blizzard.

I can tell you, based on talking to numerous players who admitted to buying materials, none of them were banned for RMT. Consistent vendors know how to avoid bans. It’s the same deal in PoE. It’s really hard to get banned for RMT.

It sounds like you’re against duping and not RMT. Be clear, kid. Your argument seems garbage atm.

Yes, RMT will always be illegal in a Blizzard game. I’d venture a guess it’s illegal in almost every single online game out there, but hey you never know, not like I have knowledge of every single game out there.

Asking people who might be cheaters themselves might not be the best move.

Buying mats or items is cheating. And yes, you can be caught because weve had lots of threads after a ban wave happened from people claiming they were innocent. Use at your own risk

that is the smartest thing someone could do…
it’s really stupid to waste all that time farming for nothing…
not matter the cost, just calculate every hour you spend farming based on your base salary… tons of money.
Buying mats for DURIEL CASINO is SMART.

What part if “cheating by proxy” did you not understand?

Yes, it is cheating. I’m sure some will pretend otherwise.

Yes… It is against the EULA and other Blizzard policies as well. Accounts caught being involved in any transaction of in-game goods, services, or currency for real money can have the accounts suspended or closed.

I don’t think that is the case. I think the issue is that many of those websites and “businesses” operate outside the reach of US law and regulations.

I assume the OP knows the answer and created the thread to poke at Blizzard for what they feel is a lack of enforcement. That is often how these threads go.

I have been enjoying the crack down in WoW on gold buying, not just selling. Who knows what they will do with D4 as time goes on. Up to the Hacks team how they handle detection for the different games.

Ahhh yeah. Tipical passive aggressive toxic behaviour. Pure essence of the ARPG fans.

Or they could be asking because he was having a discussion with his friend and wanted to find out🤷🏻‍♂️

Eh, the OP is not new to Diablo or Blizzard. He has been posting on the D3 forums since July 2019 when the new forum software started, and in here since D4 released.

Just know that if you hold on to too much they’ll delete it from your stash

Apologies. Benefit of the doubt i have some times gets in the way of truth.

I think technically buying mats is fine… but selling them is against TOS.
Sellers risk the ban
Buyers risk their purchase being confiscated/deleted
