It’s S6 Spiritborn all over again.
Balance isn’t in Blizzards vocabulary lmao
I can’t post link. Looks like hurricane?
From Rob’s X account.

arpg’s aren’t really known for their balance. poe2 has the same crap. they might patch it but they are kinda reluctant because of the complaints in the first season.
I double checked. 9 quintillion damage lmao. Day 3 of season.
its cataclysm, not hurricane
All of this was known on PTR.
That’s the truly sad part.
The only true change was “we don’t like Necro constantly casting Blood Wave, so we’ll limit it to only be cast again after it finishes.”
But 1,000,000,000,000,000 damage? This seems fine!
Least surprising thing ever.
Still really sad though.
Honestly, D4 has officially reached the unsalvageable stage. Not necessarily because it would be impossible to fix the game, but Blizzard clearly cant be bothered to anymore.
people said they would prefer not having builds fixed over balance. people don’t want the broken builds they are running ruined. they are doing what people asked for.
Balance the game Blizzard.
The season’s been live 2 days. It’s too late or too early for “doing what people asked for”. What they did was not test, and then not fix, their stuff before release. Totally different category.
Yes and the bug can scale the damage all the way up to negative number . And they are stronger than S6 spiritborn because they can clear the whole screen without doing anything but press one button once in a while. Imagine u are doing some open world activities like headhunts and one druid comes LOL.
I disagree with the former, and agree with the latter.
Blizzard is definitely doing what the community wanted. Fast, easy loot. It’s here. This is the result. Hundreds of whine posts last Season about lack of loot, lack of Aspects. Now we have it.
As for testing and fixing…
Necro and Druid were both known on PTR. Necro especially with Blood Wave, because Blizzard actually changed the Blood Wave Aspect to only work to re-cast after the animations finished. Someone at Blizzard must have said “Consecutive casts of Blood Wave?!? Too stronk!”, not actually looking at the damage numbers it was doing. That’s my only working theory… in fact, maybe they don’t actually play with damage numbers visible…
They probably don’t even know how to turn them on.
It’s hard to navigate their developer consoles without a mouse and keyboard you see…
Broken builds are the problem. Not the loot.
I don’t think they use the PTR for anything…
In fact, maybe they don´t know how to do a build on their own game.
I disagree, especially this Season.
Summon Necro hit T3 in 8 hours played, and I spent a lot of time doing… nothing at all. If I had gained more Paragon prior to switching builds, I could have cleared T4 content in another hour or two.
Summon Necro isn’t “broken”. My relatively quick pace is solely due to loot acquisition speed and fast levels in the headless areas. Uniques like Mendeln (that many people here stated they sought for an entire season previously) were dropping easily. I was getting high tier/max Aspects.
In T1, GAs were everywhere. 2x and 3x GA were rarer, but still vastly more available than S6.
I haven’t had a Mythic drop yet, but friends have.
That’s harsh … they did say during s6 campfire that they don’t load up the console until it’s an afterthought in the dev process lol… poor consolers.
Going to have some build doing duodecillions of damage by the end of the week.
Let the druids have their day.
