Bugs & crashes & bad performance

why? i mean, once there was something like quality assurance.
not anymore, i know.
but that’s ridiculous.
from beta to 2.0.2 i had about three or four crashes.
since 2.0.2 i had about 30+.

also the game does not start on the first try. it freezes at login or downloading data. always.

and well, performance went down to less than 50%. same system, half the quality / performance.

is this how blizz wants to be successful in the future?

Yes, same here. It’s beyond ridiculous, especially considerng the $'s paid for this expansion!!

Blizzard is a small indie company. Cut them some slack. :man_shrugging:

I agree, with all the funds they got, they could spend some on Quality of Software (QoS) and Quality Assurance (QA). Currently I must say D4 is a malware as it will crash the PC.

What the hell happened to the stability of this game? I never used to crash and now I crash a couple times an hour. This is really bad!

There are bugs in the dungeons too. You can open doors without doing required steps and then when the next step is to open the door you can’t do it because it was already opened.

I notice that it happens when I Evade. Tsk.

I rarely crashed pre 2.0 but this is insane been having hard crashed causing my computer to actually reset it self. That has never happened since I built this computer.

Glad its not just me. On lauch it was fine. But since yesterday when they did the “servers shutting down in 5” my game is running 100% gpu usage on all low settings when it was running 80% medium to max settings before they pulled this s**t

Glad to see it’s not just me. Haven’t crashed this much since 1.0. And there’s no pattern to it, it just happens out of the blue.

Learned my lesson with D4, update gpu drivers pre season then leave it alone until the end of the season… no more crash to desktop every 30 minute or so!

This game ran up my computer to the point where it couldn’t shut down it told me ‘failed to load shutdown and security options’ so I had to force terminate lol

Pretty sure this is related to Nvidias latest driver, I got BSOD twice because of it so far…

rubber banding, lagging, freezes etc (least 10 or more time just in a single dungeon) and latecy goes up to 800 - 1500 and more in my last 30 mins of just running nightmare dungeons.

Its 100% the Diablo client. No other games give me any trouble. And the reports have come in from people that have installed the drivers and those who have not.

They did a dodgy patch, yesterday was way worse then the day before. Typical Blizzard incompetence

Not crashing so far (that’s a first) knocking on wood atm!

Edit: scratch that they once again broke the game… can they learn to code?

I blame hubris primarily. The writers’ rooms of these companies have never been more incapable of delivering solid plot and story, but they think their work is so interesting that it will be a travesty if they actually allowed large closed betas so that we could iron this crap out in the months preceding a launch. Instead, we get to see our excitement diminish over the weeks and months that follow a release as we get hit with wave after wave of buggy gameplay, hoping that they fix it before all interest dries up. :joy:

Honestly, we are tired of hearing this. Blizzard is not small by any means they operate one of the largest most successful game franchise on the market. This division may be small, but I still blame Blizzard for not hiring competent programmers. Our number one issue is performance. It doesn’t matter the content if you log in and continuously stutter all over the map. There is no enjoyment in that. I’ve played few games where performance was an ongoing issue this late in a game’s life. This happens nearly every season. Tons of people hit the servers looking for the next thrill in Diablo 4 and performance becomes nonexistent. Only when the crowds die off can I actually enjoy the game again but that is sad.

Naw, I had to install the latest driver after the expansion and performance was still bad. It is due to server overloaded by players. I noticed when I began playing in hard mode all was good because most people rushed to hit penitent mode. When I switched to penitent, it was stutter city as people began popping up in every hub like crazy. This has been the trend from my experience. exhausted from the same content, people leave Diablo 4 for other games and my performance skyrockets but then they return every season for the next hopeful thrill and servers get overloaded with players leaving performance to tank.
