This is a good thing, not a bad one. At least they seem to recognize that 43456 items from a couple of boss kills is just stupid.
D4 was released on June 5th, 2023.
Just a heads up.
The PTR reviews are overwhelmingly negative and people defending Blizzard need to understand very little if anything will be changed.
They already sold enough of the expansions to not care about what you think by putting shiney wings in the bundles.
As irritated as I am with the company im equally so at the players who bought something they had no idea the quality of to get some flashy mtx.
The only power players have in these games is their wallet.
If people had waited and demanded changes before buying this godawful expansion that nerfs you across the board, does indeed have 1% drop rates and expects you to group with strangers for a 3 hour dungeon we may have actually gotten somewhere.

if no loot drops, you dont need to filter it! they addressed the problem of all the people complaining about too much loot and no loot filter by just removing the drops from the game.

What are you even saying? June 2023 to September 2024. Thatās 15 months. A year is 12 months. 2 years is 24 months.

You have hard coded 2% chance for mythical to drop. Believe you or not but best chances will get tormented boss that produce most items per kill ā¦ read lord Zir
Blizzard Uses Beta & PTR as hype machine but rarely act or acknowledge the feedback they get.
Most things will go like as-is from the PTR, Which is why we have threads list this.
They shouldāve never attempted to make these changes any way, Donāt fix things that are not broken

Hype for what? Dudeā¦Thatās the problem. People expect too much and get easily dissapointed.
Also mind you, PTRs are up only because people wanted itā¦So not really Blizzard hyping anything up. Just listened for what people wanted.
Either way, iām fine with whatever they come up with. My life isnāt depending on Diablo or any other game. If i like changes i will play it. If i donāt, i can always find something else.
But just saying no matter what company it is, if something is labelled as āTESTā then it is only that. Test. And then you have ātestersā like OP, making post about āPTRā in āGeneralā

I disagree. I believe people expect value for their money. The fact is what people have been getting for their money from this company has become less and less and less and then what they do get is gated in some fashion to drag things out. Have you notr looked at the map for the new area and seen how small it is? This is a prime example. Another is what they are trying to pull with the loot.
They also destroyed all of our old loot too, none of your gear that you painstakingly masterworked and collected or held onto will hit previous breakpoints due to being downgraded. Also, it will all be legacy, unable to be changed again.

Agree absolutely. The problem will be obtaining aspects and at max value. Now we salvage loads of legendaries and obtain leveled aspects. When the aspects you are going to need for your build donāt drop or drop at min level, this will be another problem.

So, you would rather level those 10 extra levels in gear you farmed last year and have that gear never replaced? Or whatās the deal here?
Thatās how things go when there are expansions involved.
It was the same 20 years ago. We farmed for ages, just for things to be easily replaced.
Farming for months to create legendaries that got replaced within 20 minutes in new expansion by Green quest reward! And it was no big deal.
But just curious, what on earth are you doing if not farming for better equipment? 
Not like D4 is swimming in meaningful endgame content.
I can always āimproveā something and find betterā¦Be it on Eternal or Seasonal. Even after 4 seasons i still donāt have minmaxed Eternal character.

I would rather nothing be set back at all, just the top end increased across the board for everything. Thats okay imo.
Everything else you listed had nothing to do with my complaint, but thankyou for the oppurtunity to clarify.
As an eternal player, I like to constantly progress to new heights but not at the expense of my current gear diminishing in value. If im doing 100 million damage on average in season 5, and we gain an expansion of power in the expansion for season 6. I want to be able to work up to do 500 million damage. It makes no sense why now I would be doing 10 million damage instead.
I agree, Iām VERY nervous about what theyāve cooked up here. Why would they undo all the progress they have made, which has been so well received? Everyone is LOVING the progress from launch to S5ā¦ and now they just want to undo all of it? Itās literally bonkers, and I for one would probably stop playing (PTR feels so terribleā¦ so dull). Iām sure many others would stop playing as well.

Yea dont buy the expansion if you feel that way. I AGREE and i think many others doā¦ blizz completely tossed away a year and a half of progressā¦ the next two years will be them back peddling this update because theres no way the number wont show how bad they messed upā¦ we would be absolute fools to deal with this crap again fellaz so in my opinion lets let D4 go. We got space marine 2 dropping and an 80% performance boost update for ark ASA this weekā¦ we still feastin

let me see if I can explain the issue.
We have no problem with farming new items. If , in the new expansion there was UBER UBER MYTHIC grandfather- with better stats than I have now, I would farm the shot outta that until I have it.
The problem is , that is not whats happening. My 2 GA grandfather on live game right now - is exactly the same stats as an 800 lvl grandfather on PTR. My existing 2 GA grandfather had its Ilvl reduced to 540, thus dropping its DPS t oroughly half of what the 800 version is. So now, I have to farm the SAME granfather again, and hope and Pray again, that the GAs are on the right affix.
We are farming the same loot for the third time , its no longer fun

you know what else isnt fun for the 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th time? get getting all the way points and doing the strongholdsā¦ ugh that is just annoying as heck

Yeah ā¦ cause why play a game? It should just hand us everything. That way your fully leveled and geared on day 1 and have nothing left to do.
What donāt you people understand? I guess itās hard to think when all you hear is yourself screaming about how bosses should be dropping your 4ga ancestral pieces ever other kill. And how your chosen build isnāt as strong as some other build. And wah wah wah.

Well, we could be disagreeing to no end! But since it is about values, itās not up for discussion. I canāt say anything to prove you otherwise, since itās what you see is something worth.
But in my case, as i always said i got value for my money. I have just in D4 more than 600 hours. Games i paid 70-80$ for, some of them not even played for 6 hours.
40$ is money too but compared to what i get for trip to cinema for paying even more is not something that will keep me sleepless at night or worrying about.
