Blizzard has destroyed loot all over again

Tormented Uber bosses dropping only 3-4 pieces of gear and like a 1% chance at ancestral uniques. What on earth are they thinking? This will be 1 quick way to destroy all the progress they have made.

Damn!

One would think it was “PTR”…:upside_down_face:

One would think a dumb design is a dumb design.

Please no. I’ll rather go back to the current way where the bosses drop tons of items.

The solution to this problem is a loot filter, then those who want to see everything can choose to, those who want to only see GG items can choose to.

Their idea of difficult is to make stuff bullet sponges and make it a struggle to equip yourself. Then on top of that require rare af gear just for builds to function.

Im pretty sure theres no way to justify loot that we have all been getting common the past two years is suppose to feel good because they have a 1% drop chance now all of a sudden? It doesnt work like that lol

Exactly. I don’t understand this logic at all. They locked everything behind torment, removed sacred and now reduced drops to almost non-existent.

The new endgame content in the expansion touches on this for loot, and being able to specify the type of loot you want to find. Kurast Undercity I think it was called, the new timed dungeon.

So this could be the reason, can’t say for certain as obviously we aren’t allowed to test that content in the PTR.

And that’s exactly what “TEST REALMS” do…

Test stuff to see how it works.

Instead all you “PTR TESTERS” treat the test like official release…
Not even using “PTR SECTION” of the forum but General.

Why not make it easier for Blizzard to actually fix stuff and post threads where they belong?

You keep saying two years. Where are you getting 9 more months of D4?

Loot filter would be a PoE thing you know, a smart thing…

We don’t do that here

More loot does not = better loot
Less loot does not = worse loot

which means

Quantity of loot does not = Quality of loot

If anything, the less crap drops, the better. No one enjoys playing a garbage sifter simulator.

You know when you do a PTR, it’s supposedly CLOSE to the final game, when something seems wildly off mark, It’s valid to call it out.

While OP might be a bit harsh, but this team has been known to under and overtune on the regular, so am I surprised? no.

Will they fix it? I’d say 10% chance.

This could happen because of all the crazy feedback. If i were calling the shots, I would slightly under tune, Then slowly bring it all up as needed.

No one is suggesting you don’t call it out. There are appropriate places for that and there should be an understanding that what is in the PTR is not final.

The changes to Infernal Hordes between PTR and S5 release should be a great example of this.

Shrug, I think we only had PTR from season 4 and onwards, so that doesn’t explain a lot of the prior work.

Does it seem better after PTR, I think so, I guess that’s a null hypothesis question.

I did say there was a 10% chance they would “fix it”.

And yes, probably should be in PTR feedback instead of here. Although I don’t necessarily mind it being here, others might. If it was a big deal I imagine the mods would just move the thread.

I don’t think they care since they don’t do that though.

Personally, I think it’s all planned this way. It seems to keep people on the edge of their seats and coming back for more. For me it makes the fourms more interesting.

Well, that’s one take on it.

The only way it could be this bad wasn’t from happenstance, so yeah, it was planned. This is why everyone is so critical of the devs and the poor quality we have.

Someone made these decisions somewhere. It’s not like a bunch of interns got together and decided to throw this together - although it sometimes feels like it :).
