I am seeing the same issues when teleporting to town.
Either a full black screen or I can see my HUD with a black screen.
I have had to exit the game about 5 times now to get back in and play.

You have more patience than me, I stopped playing after the second time.
Waiting for blizzard to patch this before I’m going to play again.
It’s amazing that this bug is still here, even after it was fixed in season 9.
It started in season 6 and lasted 3 seasons untill season 8. I was happy that it was fixed in season 9 and here we are back at it in season 10.

Download BES cpu limiter and limit diablo 4 with -10%.
It’s sad that we have to do it this way but this seems to fix it.

I am having the same experience and will try BES because all of the other things I have tried have not worked and its literally just the port to town. Gameplay flawless graphics, sound network … no lag of any kind … until that dreaded port to town … sigh

This looks like it worked. I do need to tweak it a bit, 10%, and my game does not run very well.
This is the first season I have had issues, but I just switched from an Nvidia 2070 Super to AMD RX 9070.
Same here. This was a chronic issue following the VoH release, didn’t happen a single time in Season 9, and now it’s back. Happened on my second teleport to town after starting my first seasonal character. Incredibly frustrating!

For me it’s ok. (Season 10)
Please fix the crashing issue on Teleport. We are losing the XP well boost, 100’s of Elixars and Incense, and all the friends that won’t play with us because we crash and waste their time too.
You fixed it once Blizzard, are you concerned enough to fix it again? Look at all these posts. There are many more people having this problem that aren’t reporting it.

LOL-exactly true, also game freezes in exit…again. Season 9 had none of this, thought we in the clear this time.
Having this issue too. Rip. Back to Poe 2 i guess. Thought I’d check out D4 after not playing since the vampire season, i think that was season 4 or something. Seems like they added not alot of content but alot of microtransactions and bugs.

Same problem. Black screen after town portal. Some of the time I’m losing uniques on the ground because I’m going back to empty my bags. Wasn’t a problem for me until season 10. Also forced to use task manager to close the game because it’s too hung up to exit sometimes.
I’m experiencing the same thing… It happened to me twice today! I didn’t have any problems last season tho
I am having the same issue as well season 10 black screen with hud after teleporting please fix this problem it is a real issue I don’t get it…
Just posting to keep this open. I am also affected by this issue. Started with the expansion pack (paying extra for bugs, neat!) and then resolved in season 9 (yea!) and then back in season 10… please fix this. I am not installing some 3rd party system resource limiter. I have a AMD graphics card, RX 6750 XT with the latest drivers. 64G ram. Core i7-13700K. Also have a 1G Google Fiber internet connection and I am wired to the router. No stability issues with any other games or apps… just D4 and this portal bug and other random network disconnects (less often).
Seems to happen more when I am playing in groups than if I am playing solo.
