The Chia program doesn’t use GPU power. It uses hard drives. It works basically like bit torrent. It just connects to other computers peer to peer within its own parameters. If you know anything about python, its a sandboxed language meaning nothing can go in or out of the program.
Pretty sure that crypto is just the modern preferred money laundering system, so it’s flush with wealth. Nothing more to it than that.
Money laundering, scams, get rich quick schemes, ponzi, pump and dumps and gambling (there are people with literal adictions to s*itcoin gambling). Thats about it
but why is this even discussed? There are better forums for that
Right? Who are these people that just hop on here with no reasoning or logic just claiming others are always cheaters lol.
You don’t even understand how it works. I watched a 10 min video and understand it better than you do and you are a self professed expert.
Stop commenting, put in a ticket, and wait for a response.
You are just another crypto bro who installed software they don’t understand and probably got owned by that software.
“I watched a 10 min video and understand it better than you”. Then proceeds to explain nothing about what they have learned. Who’s pretending?
Um I’m usually one of those people.
I had that attitude last night but as the whole conversation grew (I follow because I may allegedly troll from time to time) and more information came out, then more people talked about a ban and a common theme came up I realized this isn’t the typical “guilty playing innocent” situation here. It’s been fascinating to me, and really unfortunate for those affected.
Plotting uses CPU resources to do complex calculations to setup the farm data.
Yes it uses your CPU. You just don’t understand what is going on.
Like I said, you are a crypto bro.
LOL. You are so ignorant its embarrassing. Stop embarrassing your parents.
You understand you are providing proof of work with the farm data right? That is the entire point. The work was done by your CPU to setup the farm data.
You are so oblivious to what is happening on your PC it’s hilarious.
Enjoy your burnt out solid state drives by the way because plotting destroys them.
Have fun.
That’s exactly how false flags work, Warden will see something funky going on with memory and flag it (your account) for automated punishment.
This has happened several times in the past with big names on big games. Luke from LTT comes to mind, he was banned and auto rejected until someone who watched the WAN Show and happened to be high up in Blizzard took notice and had a proper investigation done.
Point being, Warden can be over zealous and Blizzard can’t reveal anything about the system to people they don’t know/trust because that means giving hack-makers proprietary intel to bypass Warden.
Mind you, there’s always the option of going to the King’s Bench/Small Claims/whatever your country calls it and then strong arm your way via discovery to figure out what on Earth Blizzard’s Warden system is derping around on. But I imagine if you go this route Blizzard will go full on lawyer mode and stall as much as possible to prevent that information from becoming public record (or petition the court for redaction, for obvious and fair reasons).
Glad I could amuse you. I never claimed to be an expert on the matter.
Court is too much work. I will probably file a chargeback on my credit card as a middle finger to blizzard for this.
You’ll probably lose your account doing that, just be aware and good luck. Yes court is too much work. Corporations rely on this to keep bad faith EULA terms in service. It’s why they have a silly disclaimer saying all unenforceable clauses don’t apply as a cover their butt clause (fun fact, it doesn’t cover their butt lol).
If Chia is indeed causing a false ban, then Blizzard needs to deal with this. My feelings on cryptomining aside, if it’s not actually exploiting the game it shouldn’t be bannable IMO.
I was banned, if I had known that Chia app could ban me I would have closed the app before opening the game =/
I made my biggest return with chia , managed to get lucky and mine And sell appx $2000 of chia just before it dropped to something like 50 bucks .
Just got my account back with an apology email from blizzard. Shame on the trolls on this forum for pointing the finger before the evidence came out. Where you at Singularity?
Check your email. As people were suspecting, there is a false positive that resulted in some bans. They are sending out reversal emails based on many posts here.
Well either Warden is picking up on this chia thing and false flagging it or Blizzard decided they don’t want it being used while playing D4. If they don’t want it being used then there is a reason why.
If it’s a false flag then Blizz should overturn these bans and fix their software. If it isn’t a false flag then Blizz should have told people they would be banning for using this software and the reason for it before they started doing so.
I hope all the people banned for using this app get their accounts back.
