3 weeks out, when do you think we will hear anything new from blizzard?
We already did with their Q&A post thing on twitter. I suspect weâll get a new campfire/livestream/colonoscopy report on October 3rd. They love to stay radio silent for the majority of a season anyway.
Yeah Oct 3rd is the most likely candidate date out there.
Speaking of Iâm up to 9 questions so far.
the devs are very busy destroying the game right now! but they hear you!
Soon. I am pretty sure before Oct 8th we are gonna get something
There still no date for this q&a
the malignant tunnels! This company just cant escape from its soundbites. Dont you people have PHONES?!
Adam said on twitter we will get a date next week. soâŚnext thursday. itâs the day they always give out the chat dates. and the chats are always 1 week later. so, October 3rd, which is way too close for comfort IMO.
Is one of your question when are the devs going to gut all these dumb multipliers
If I could guarantee they would answer that question, and a few several others I have about questionable design, I would ask them. Gotta know how to play the game though.
Itâs so that anything that we donât like, Canât be fixed untill next patch rolls out. lolâŚ
iâd bet their PR team trains them how not to answer any of the âbigâ design questions. or just flat out wonât even address them.
Iâm still way beyond bewildered about how we are only now getting an actual group finder. and no, iâm not buying the PR speak that âoh, it felt like a perfect fit with the Citadelâ. a pseudo-mmo game launches with virtually 0 group finder/tools to even find a group. you push it back for god knowns what reason (probably $$$), and make it seem like itâs some holy grail you just found. no. it isnât. it should have been in at launch. no excuse will sway most peoples minds on that. they donât get credit for crap they screwed up on (not just group finder, but OH SO MANY things), hurriedly fixed and passed off as them âlisteningâ.
end rant :\
They are very busy fixing all the bugs we found in the PTR.
I wonder how many to come with the expansionâŚ
Whether itâs from the PR team coaching them, or the more senior staff, the devs have always been hesitant about releasing any information pertaining to the future of the game. Their main reason, as has been said in previous live streams, campfires, or interviews, was the fact they didnât want to say they were going down this route to the player base. Then during the development phase completely change it up or scrap an idea entirely just to disappoint the players.
My counter argument is just keep us in the loop. Iâd rather know where the game is going, or a glimpse at where it might be going, rather than have a drastic change pop up a month before itâs released. Yes things change during development, ideas get scrapped, tweaks are made. Perfectly fine, just let us know.
We all know the reason this new party finder, along with basic QoL features found in their previous iterations of the game arenât in D4. The game was rushed out, and needed at least another year before being released. The fact weâve received so many base changes since launch and even more drastic changes since S4 further reiterates that point.
I will give them credit for being one of the fastest development teams at Blizzard for pushing out changes. In all my time playing Blizzard games I donât think Iâve ever seen a Blizzard game change this much this fast. Now I agree with you, this shouldnât have been the case, a lot of these changes shouldâve been in since day 1. Again though, we all know the reasons for this, and also why it took forever to even get the game going.
Eh, at this point itâd be good to let the devs cook. Fix the bugs, tweak based on feedback given.
yea it presumably didnât help that the game was rebooted in early development at least once (the over-the-shoulder version).
and i honestly felt more in the loop with the quarterly updates pre-launch. obviously, thatâs not nearly enough face time with the community at this point. but, it just felt moreâŚcohesive? i mean, a quarter of a year is 3 months so they had 3 months to give us a pretty in-depth blog post.
i do applaud them for fixing things (itemization, and now progression). butâŚat the same time, it shouldnât have come to that this soon after launch. it just screams âwe are flying by the seat of our pantsâ to me. and, that may be a necessity at times. but to rebuild almost everything about the game aside from the story/art/sound designâŚidk man.
Oh completely agree, and if you go back to the older streams of the developer updates, it was obvious certain features were epiphanies to them. It boggles the mind that the Q&A sessions were filled with âoh that would be a good ideaâ. Well no kidding it was in D2 or D3, how is this not in D4?
Thatâs from the Oct 4th, 2023 Live Stream Q&A portion. We still donât have an armory a year later. It just keeps getting pushed further and further back with no real commitment to it. We heard about it recently in various interviews with streamers, but again nothing substantial as to when, if ever, itâll come out. My best guess weâll see it in the next expansion at the very soonest, if weâre lucky.
Why would or should give us some info every week?
