If i gotta say, there are lots to say. D4 is not that bad in the end. You know what. Just…make it better pls, Blizzard. Poe2 is fun, but, i kinda love D4 more than i thought after all this all that.
Funny isn’t it? You can like different games for different reasons, and understand that no two game is the same, so you need to aproach each if them with a different mindset. Still one will click with you better, amd there is no problem with that, no one should call you or sahme you for personal taste and preference. And you don’t have to explain yourself why.
S7 is just balance, Armory (QOL) and a Season Theme…
im waiting for a better end game, AOZ was a good end game but they dont keep it… The only challengin content for now is Pit, Pit in his actually form is boring af, 0 skill needed, just a DPS check.
UNFORTUNATLEY It’s posts like this that will draw “those” kind of people to this thread (Like a bunch of fast moving mobs from POE 2 coming to attack/surround the player) and attack the OP and/or any other person who just happens to like Diablo 4… on the Diablo 4 FORUMS.
Welcome to being a Shill and/or a White Knight for liking a game on it’s own forum.
Yeah I just wanted a positive comment inder OP’s post before those people show up.
Well the casuals are going to play the casual game, made for them, nothing wrong with that.
I 100% agree that Pit is… bleh. I don’ even mess with it if I don’t REALLY Really have to.
Season 6 was awful… I guess it’s to be expected over the Holidays like that though.
Now we should sit back and hold our bated breath to see what they say/do for Season 7- as I’m sure it’ll be (well maybe) a response to how good POE 2 has been.
I like both games, but I’m eager to play the new season in Diablo 4 more and more each day.
you can stil love d4 and simply enjoy and play poe2, like i do. Its similar to girlfriend/wife kind of thing if you get it…
i just saw a commerical for d4 saying its better then poe2 because you have to identify items in poe2 like diablo 2 and d4 lets you play without identifying anything…
lol
Tbh i dont know the underlying issue but
İ am having fun playing poe2 (didnt play poe1)
İ get bored of d4 since it is not that much fun but more of choir
İ tried each season maybe smthg has changed but will probably pass on this one…
And come on it is the 7 th season ana which season was “wow” tbh none
Diablo 4 is not a bad game.
It’s just a bad Diablo game.
They could have reskinned Diablo 3 and saved us a lot of pain.
But I think in its lifespan it will change as it’s a long term thing.
So I don’t expect everything at once.
I can’t wait for S7 - S? either.
Everybody dancing around the elephant in the room.
We needed a paladin.
I could not have said it better myself.
POE 2 is going to be too overwhelming for a majority of D4 players. Bliz does not have as much to fear as we thought.
Passive tree is ginormous.
9 skills and 5 supports per skill = 45 things to combo and figure out along with the fact that any class can use any weapon so there are no real classes but ascendancy.
Mapping system takes a PH D.
Massive and daunting crafting system.
Ways to brick character in campaign.
Massive costs to respec.
Punishing maps with only 1 death.
Massive loss of XP on death in maps.
1 shots from bosses unless u have massive ES stacking. Armour sucks. Evasion not reliable.
POE 2 has many issues. Its not all roses and donuts over there.
No, just common sense.
How you figure that?
It’s actually pretty cheap.
Yea, the 1-death maps and amount of 1-shots is a lot. It’ll get fixed though, that’s the puprose of EA… to test things. Evasion is really good, but you need other layers to support it properly.
To its credit it is an EA game. So some (doubtful all) of these issues will probably be addressed to some extent. I enjoy the game, but I always knew it wouldn’t be anymore competition for D4 than any other game.
People will play what they enjoy the most at the time, and I have no doubt we’ll see some back and forth between seasons and leagues. Bigger question is what are both games going to do moving forward. That’s what I’m interested in.
You say this but PoE 1 and 2 both pride themselves on giving very little information to the players in-game. They adhere to the strict rule of ‘players can just google it’, which is fine, but it will definitely turn people off.
I’m a fan of simplistic gradual tutorials within a game myself. You don’t have to hold my hand every step of the way, but when a more complex system is introduced it’s helpful to get an explanation. It’s actually easier to look up a written article or YouTube video about the systems within PoE 1 and 2, and pretty much mandatory for any new player.
PoE 2, just like PoE 1 will have its own niche of players. This isn’t a jab at the game mind you, the devs have stated many times this is what they wanted. The current business model works just fine for them. I applaud them for at least having a plan and sticking to it.
I feel like when people say xy game is the next Diablo killer, that is also a personal feeling. For THEM xy game is the Diablo killer. I also feel like if Necro Minions don’t get a big increase in endgame damage, Grim Dawns new expac might be the Diablo killer FOR ME. But I also know that doesn’t mean I will never come back, if things change in a direction I would like.
Well, then they should stick with the ultra casual game if they can’t handle the current version of POE2’s skill tree, it’s only going to get deeper and better.
It always confuses me when people talk about the PoE and PoE 2 skill tree as being some big scary alien.
The Paragon “tree” “board” or whatever you wanna call it is just as scary or confusing if not more so. Different boards that can shuffle around and you have more points in total there than in poe skill tree.
PoE 2 skill tree is easier to navigate around an dmor eimportantly LEARN because it is static. You could say that the Paragon board is meaningless in that all you do is get some mainstat and some rare nodes that say + to resistances and pick up the glyphs or whatnot so nothing that can brick your character.
While that is true, but im going to assume that everyone that plays video games can read and taking a node that says “Maximum Life becomes 1, Immune to Chaos Damage” some alarm bells should be going off if you didnt already plan to take it.
Either way 95% of players are following a guide that tells you the entire passive tree/paragon board route which is true for BOTH PoE1 PoE2 and D4.
