After Level 100

I see a lot of 100 level players out there. What do you do? For me, after I reach 100, I play another class and build. I am at a stand still as I have all my classes leveled up to 100 (Except for Druid as I wont play them), and there is nothing more to do :sleepy: . I think the season is done for me already :sleepy:.

I only play one class per season, so the way everything is now I run a few nightmare dungeons at the chance I strike gold and get an uber unique. I’ve done everything else a few times and completed everything. There’s really nothing left to grind for like in previous Diablo installments be it cosmetics or pets which I really liked doing. I catch the WB once a day. I like the game, but to be honest there’s just nothing to really do after you hit 100. Grinding for uber uniques with their drop rate might as well not exist. I could min-max my gear a bit more, but there’s really no point.

I think i have just what you’re looking for.

There’s this neat trick where if you go into steam games you can find a free expansion pack for Diablo IV. It’s under the name ā€˜Path of Exile’. If you need more ARPG content to plow through, it’s a decent way to spend your time. They also added a lot of QoL features and implemented trading(even uniques) for those Diablo players that enjoy that part.

o.o

cmon… take the bait.

True end game is to get to 100 and stand around in town.

At level 100 I am running NMDs looking for gear upgrades and tinkering with my build to see if I can push for higher tier NMDs.

I never look at build guides. For me the fun of the game is designing my own build around skills that I find conceptually interesting (or skills that the wider community discards as ā€œnot viableā€), and seeing if I can tweak it enough to clear the most challenging content. Following a guide to a cookie-cutter build that roflstomps everything in the game is very much not fun.

So true. Never understood the idea of wanting to be back-seated so much that it required extra curricular reading.

lol, it is funny how a 10 yr old game is getting popular after the release of D4. I have always stayed away from POE as it is free. The company HAS to make money, so if it is free, that means that there is either 1) a ton of advertisement, or 2) it is ā€˜Pay to Win’ where you have to buy and pay money for any decent items.

That is exactly the reason I avoided it for so long. But I regret holding out for so long. I will admit I bought all the stash tabs, but I never felt pressured to buy anything until after completing the campaign and even then it was just 2-3 specialized tabs for organizing stuff (maybe $20-30.)

You’re always allowed to take a long break and come back for Season 2.

well, you have several pve goals to do i supposed

you can solo nmd 100 and uber lilith

after that yeah, not much

In theory you keep pushing higher and higher NM dungeons or fight Uber Lilith …if you feel like doing either of those things.

But it makes more sense to make another class.

I made a post to address this.

Empowerment Levels = Empowerment levels gives players purpose at LV 100!

Also, there isn’t any pay to win from what I can tell. The stash tabs are a pay for convenience, but from what I can find 99% of their $ is from whales that want to look like Mr. Manhattan hovering everywhere on a golden throne propelled by a swarm of demonic corgi’s.

I made 100 necro for my first guy. Was okay. Did a lot of damage. Tough. Just boring to me. Made a barb. Fell in love with the weapon expertise / 4 weapons at once system. Made another guy in Eternal. Season 1 started. Really liked the barb experience so I made another for season. Then they got mega nerfed. So I stopped that guy very early and remade a rogue. Then when 1.1.1 hit and fixed a key aspect the class uses I went back to 100 on barb. then 100 on rogue this past weekend from the free xp event. I dont play the rogue. Kinda boring to me. Too easy I think. The barb though! Lots of back and forth action fights. Since XP isnt a factor anymore I do a lot of:

Outdoor stuff. Tree quests (they give a high lvl sigil reward also)
Extreme Hiking / Craft Mat hunting
Parkour overland travel challenges

Okay, I made up 2 of them. You can pick which.

But I love doing the ā€˜fun’ NM dungeons like Hoarfrost. My barb didn’t really ā€œfeel goodā€ to play until 100. So I’m just enjoying the crap out of it.

Fast. Tanky. Does everything well.

At the very least they should just give you some obols for leveling after 100. Or Make elites drop them or something. Since at that point all you care for is gear. It wouldn’t be much but something at least.
PoE is good, but the visuals are garbage (the regular visuals are just bad and the MTX plain technicolor vomit), the story is meandering and pretentious and it’s trying too hard to be edgy and you’ll brick your character the first time without a build guide.

I want to run random nightmares , have my gear actually get better and be able to get more paragon levels. The game is over for me now that I’m maxed and it’s a shame. I played d3 for years , every season and had fun pushing levels and paragon. If they don’t give us more then 5 new world bosses to kill at max level people won’t come back after season 2 and it’s already doubtful people will buy the next expansion without serious changes to end game content.

I log out and pretty much stop playing the game because there is nothing worth doing anymore.

I dont think all 5 of those bosses are max level. They seem to imply they are leveling milestones like capstone bosses. Which is fine, the game needs that. Hopefully maybe they also have versions of them for level 100 because the game needs that too.

Once I hit 100 and kill Uber Lilith I’m done until season 2.

This is what bugs me, all player are trying to get to 100.

Buts there nothing to do after that. So whats the point of rushing and getting there?

They should have some events or bosses only limited to lvl 100 to farm better gear or even uber at a %.
