5 stages of grief - I'm at depression / acceptance - what about you other eternals

  1. Didn’t care as I already stopped playing after S4. Only in the forums for something to read over lunch at work

If we’re going for whitty sayings, I will leave the George Bernard Shaw quote here:

“The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who have not got it.”

Lol, grass is always greener on the other side huh?

Here’s a hint. It most often is not.

Then simply don’t play anymore. At least take a break and maybe see where it’s at down the road.
I really don’t understand the mentality of doing something you don’t enjoy.

Yeah, kinda crossed that point last night when I sold the doombringer. LOL.

I think it all kinda hit home the proverbial rock bottom / hence this post today.

I’ll see how I feel after a few days off of the game.

You know I love that the merchant is so close to the portal back to grig, but alpha wave state really screwed me.

Step 3. Bargaining for changes at least for mythics. There is 100% no good reason we dont get item power 800 mythics on eternal that were already earned. Doesnt affect seasonal. Why Bliz Why??? I got a 3 GA ring of starless I got in S4 and its going to have its inherent hammered I think.

I was still grinding mats to upgrade my gear last night when I saw video of the 2.0 test server. I realized I was wasting my time with my gear and playtime so I don’t need to play now. Freed up some time for other games. Thanks Blizz.

I think I got about a week or two left before I hit that. Still gotta get 3 GA esu and finish masterworks on my GA glass cannon, GA devour blaze, enchanted hoarfrost amulet I got that pushed my dps way more than Loci Talisman I was using which made me sad (This is a continual problem with multiplier passives being too good.) I just cant hit devour three times. Ive hit it twice about 10 times and 7 of 10 it hits glass cannon on 3rd.

  • Installed PTR
  • Saw my inventory + stash all marked as legacy for the second time
  • Played one hour
  • Uninstalled PTR

So basically stage 6 : Give up on the game.

Will probably play it until I find something else to play.
But no more hype or expectation.

I personally couldn’t care less, ARPG’s were about seasons back in D2LOD days, and even more so in 2024.

  • Play the season
  • delete eternal char’s when you run out of char slots
  • Play the next season
  • Skip season when you don’t have time or season looks boring

I totally understand how you feel.
We just need to find another addiction/game

This is the exact perfect game for you it seems .

I cant wait for poe2. Fourms should be quite interesting from ppl QQ about leveling, needing to play the campaign, items being rare ect…

Should be good entertainment.

It will be nice to put another game in the rotation.

Im so happy it only took all of you guys a year and half to see where these devs were going with the game lol… we called this a long time ago fellaz… told ya so

PoE is actually pretty good the combat just feels dated… people wont like poe if they play arpgs with build guides tho… its funner and more engaging learning stuff and watching it come together… my first season of POE during crucible league i beat every single map and ubers and i guess there only like a few % of people that have ever done that there first time playing… people in chat were inviting me to see my build… im not even flexing but it did feel good… i got the helmet from there “seasonal pass” from my last map to prove it as well

all of us knew, and all of us stayed in hopes that they might change for the better

well after 5 seasons, and seeing how its gonna be in sixth season i cant say i have much faith left, i am running on fumes at this point.

I’ll definitely give poe2 a shot but quite frankly i just dont think ARPG is appealing anymore, every one of them is a endless grind and pretty much none of them have a satisfying end game.
