10,000 people is not a small sample size. People use ~2k for 100million and get it pretty accurate.

Only if the sample is unbiased and random. Self-selection is not a valid selection process for a representative sample. Should have paid attention in your stats class - turns out school does have real world applications!
Yep, pretty much this. Even if it was 10,000 pissed off gamers review bombing the game clearly isn’t a 2.2 and most of us without a hateboner for anything Blizzard know that. It’s not a 9 or a 10 either though.
Any high rated pollster. Pew or Gallup for example. Look at their methodology pages.

always love when ppl be like “woah look D4 200k viewers, best game ever, look how sh*tty other games look lmao, rip game xy” then you point out how it looks now with their ~16k viewers and the same ppl “who cares about twitch, no one cares about viewers”

You posted this an hour ago, so 11 AM eastern / 8 AM pacific. On a Wednesday.
Doesn’t really seem like prime time viewing hours to me.

10k out of 10 million is nothing
And what was it at 8 PM Eastern / 5 PM Pacific that same day
120-150.
the point still remains. tonight at that time it will be happy to see 25-30k. the % drop is still apparent regardless of peak times

Cause everyone is hiveminding, many viewers = good game

Nah, organizations accurately predict the opinion of over 100 million people using around 2,000 people every 4 years.
By the way going by XBOX achieves, 70% didn’t even finish the campaign last I looked. Most quit well before Season1.
