If it was 1000s not only would half the threads here be about it. But Blizzard would of announced something by now.

itās true. i am one of them. it is not a big claim, blizzard does this crap all the time then sweeps it under the rug.
thereās a huge player base that the game just crashes for. no rhyme or reason or common denominator and theyāre refusing to knowledge it - i am one of those unfortunate players too
please also realize that because a program works on your machine just fine, it may not on someone elseās for one reason or another.

first i have heard of anyone having issues getting in game. no one i know is having any issues. you might want to check your computer for updates.

Citation needed or this is just anecdotal drivel.
I would suggest opening a new thread with your pc specs detailed out so others who cannot play can do the same.
It would go a long way to gathering some info as to which group is being impacted.
Also open a ticket in the meantime, they will likely ask for a DxDiagā¦so you may want to run that beforehand (youtube has directions if you are not super techie).

we compared specs - there is no common denominator, and nothing makes any sense. healthy mix of nvidia and AMD GPUs, CPUās. and memory.
high memory machines, low memory machines. doesnāt seem to matter, or discriminate.
we have all submitted bug reports, just to receive the same canned BS responses from blizzard.
have tried all workarounds, and the worst part is - a similar bug that DOES have a workaround is being confused by them with this bug, so it is probably not even on their radar.
if you check the forums, more and more people are finally posting about it. as a developer myself, i did check out the crash data - massive memory leak. if i had the source code, even with the learning curve, iād have been good to go and fixing it now.
i love blizzard, or what blizzard used to be and stand for. now they wonāt roll back so we can all play, or acknowledge it - because that would shut off the cash printing press that is the expansion.

Have you tried rolling back the nVidia driver to the one before?
Donāt doubt this, I am a dev also, and the number of hoops I have had to jump through to get this to run stably in the past, in 4k is absurd, with a 3090ti. But I did manage to get there. As of the season4 release, I swapped over to 1080p for now, after hearing about other peopleās issues, and the once or twice a week client crash with no explanation. 
That fact that it went from stable in 4k to thisā¦is not a great sign. But I have had little issue other than the occasional client crash now. I hope they figure out what is going on in your situation.
has nothing to do with the drivers unfortunately - and for shi*s and giggles - yes, i have (using AMD GPU)
i can assure you that i have tried every possible solution in terms of classic troubleshooting and then some, but any other ideas i am naturally open to. it is happening to several thousands of us, and is prey nasty as far as memory leaks go.
just a few examples i have been active on.
Log out of Blizzard account and back in then repair your Diablo IV game.
Lol as mentioned, these have all been tried.
The problem is not with the installation, it is with the poorly QAād product blizzard released on a sunday with no one there to fix it.
It has been 4 days now.

silly question but have you started started your pc modem and router? game launchers are famous for getting patches stuck and need a power cycle to actually get it to dl
I figured the rule forbidding linking to Non-Blizzard Entertainment websites would be in effect, but now I canāt find that rule anymoreā¦ maybe that was before the current forum system was implemented.
It was an annoying rule as it made bug reporting a nightmareā¦ since as they often say, a picture paints a thousand words.
i also encountered crashed to desktop whenever doing helltides.
from past experience, i turn off the cross platform communication. and the game working with no more crashing.
the dev should review this part of the coding.
youāre the second one here and the thousands of you all got together to discuss it and none of you had the sense to say anything to Blizzard, and Iām the moron
