1000's of people can't play

Nearly 48 hours later and still no sign of a hotfix or roll back of the patch/update that broke the game once again.

How did it break this time?

For myself, after pressing launch in the blizzard app nothing happens. Others are having a issue where the game just crashed to desktop after selecting their characters.

“It broke! FIX IT!” doesn’t usually amount to any meaningful resolution. What exactly isn’t working for you and what do your FenrisDebug logs say? You’ll find the logs in your Diablo 4 folder. You can use Pastebin to post the contents of the logs since they’re going to be too large to post here due to character limitations.

Who are the 1000’s of people who can’t play.
A specific type of GPU user?
I have had no issues other than the normal occastional client crash.

I have not experianced anything wrong at all. I can log in and play just fine. No lag no stutters everything works good.

You are making a big claim that thousands of people can’t play the game. Where are the thousands of post stating that? It very well could be something on your end. But you gave no information other than i can’t play.

If 1000’s of people can’t play over the past 48 hours these forums would of lit up like a christmas tree instead of just being you

you might need a potato upgrade mate. games running fine for me, on my last PC (also a potato) I had lots of crashes and issues.

if you use this site: https:// downdetector .com/status/diablo/ it will show if its down for 1,000s of players. it looks like it had some connection issues over the last few hours

This guy.

You gave no information about your issue other than ‘hur dur I cant play’. I’m sure most of us here hate Blizzard nearly as much as you. People pointing out they are not having issues, or asking you to verify claims that there are thousands of people having the same issue, or asking for logs to actually have a look to see if a problem can be identified are not delusional.

The only delusional person here is you. Have you checked your logs? Have you posted them on the tech support forums? Or did you expect there would be a mind reading wizard on stand by able to diagnose and fix your problem at a glance.

Get your life together mate.

Continue to not being able to play because your communication skills are that of a chimp.
No one can help you when you give no information.

I know for me personally, that since patch, I get about 5 minutes of play time, then I lag and disconnect. I have hard wired 1 gig internet. No other game I play has this issue. This seems to happen everytime they patch/introduce something new…

do a tracert to the bliz ip’s and do a tracert to the “other” games ip. You might be in an area that the traffic to the servers goes extra hops or has a bad connection.

here is a listing of d4 stuff:
serverpool: us-central | address: 34.134.81.253 | port: 54546
serverpool: us-west | address: 34.145.56.198 | port: 54545
serverpool: eu-west | address: 34.159.2.39 | port: 54546
serverpool: asia-northeast | address: 34.84.12.125 | port: 54546
serverpool: southamerica-east | address: 34.95.165.101 | port: 54546

To follow up on this, it wasnt until I used a tool to monitor my hops that I discovered the issues I had were local. After replacing my wifi antennae the same tool shows there is now consistent packet loss in the connection between my ISP and Blizzard servers. My ISP admits they are in the process of upgrading their network, and over the last few days it seems to be a lot more stable.

Network issues are way too complicated to just see a high ping and assume Blizzard did it.

your wifi antenna doesnt matter if you are hard wired (you said you were hard wired). I am a certified wifi engineer and even though I certify people’s wifi setups, I still use a hard wire for my gaming setup

lol I see you are different than the other guy - need more coffee!! haha my bad

I think you are confusing two people answering, I’m not OP. I’d hard wire, but thats 50 metres of cable and not feasible. I was just hijacking the conversation to point out having a crappy connection isnt always the fault of the game server.

yeah you and me both

well i am one screen goes grey then crashes
