Unsure which of the systems would be easier to implement, but it sounds like a great alternative solution compared to the loot filter, or could be implemented after they used the loot-filter as a bandaid and had time to properly implement and test it.
Definitely something to explore!

And I agree that it would currently greatly impact our gold income, but if they would address another point I made about increasing other gold sources then it might actually work hand in hand.

Actually, it’s an easier way. At least a filter that marks things below a certain quality with junk. You can also add that things with certain affixes are also immediately marked with trash.
So you waste less time sorting, by the way, in the game you can’t sort by quality or by type, all items are the same size, why is there sorting at all?

I read and pretty much agree with all these. Nice list.

I would include that the uber uniques are impossibly rare and thus they don’t actually instill any motivation to hunt for them and when people get them the only possible way (exploits) it is very upsetting to anyone who missed out.

I have to say, I originally thought that 66 different points of non-class/balance-based critique were a large enough target for Blizzard to maybe, even perhaps by accident, hit.
But I guess I was more wrong than I could ever have expected and honestly can’t grasp what this company is doing/what feedback they are reading/what game they are testing/playing.

I am just overwhelmed and stunned by an unfathomable amount of disappointment and bewilderment.

I just wanted to take this chance to thank everyone for sharing their ideas/feelings/critiques under this post and want to tell you guys that even if Blizzard might not, you are being heard, be it by me or the other concerned players who’s thoughts you could read under this post.
We experienced this exact situation many times already with the “new” Blizzard, and history tells us that they need a very long time to realize and at least partially reconnect.

My honest suggestion is right now to walk away and come back in a year & see if things have sufficiently changed for the better.
