That’s not what’s making WW better (except for HC, but if y’all want tanky, Fire EQ with Parthans, Band of Might, and Esoteric is your best bet). It’s the extra damage from Crimson’s.
And the real questions are what I’ve posted above.

Don’t need super tanky just need to not die when the wind blows. From a HC perspective morticks has made it way better for the low end because of the toughness granted by it. I am sure crimson helps a bit with that as well.
I always prefer guaranteed -50% DR over unpredictable “more-less”
Plus significant healing
Plus additional (incl. AD) damage
Therefore, as for me, Mortick’s > APD since we have perma WotB
Using CC with Mortick is appoximately equal to how many mob frozen with APDs? 5 or 6 if APDs is additive or 7 or 8 if it is multiplicative? That doesn’t sound bad considering it is guaranteed damage reduction. Also much better against the RG.
Mortick’s is more consistent. It definitely provides more defense on most RGs. However, as we all know, when you start to push, you’re looking for ideal Rifts with optimal maps and density and ideally great mob types too. When you’re fishing like that, you’re getting much more defense than ~50% from most of the Rift. I would definitely argue that when you’re pushing and fishing and actually fighting on those ideal Rifts, you’re getting closer to 75% damage reduction on average up to the Rift Guardian.
As I understand, someone want us to play 100r/1gr (1000r/1gr) instead of 1r/3gr ??!
So NTY, big NO!!
It’s such a terribly inefficient model of the gaming (in terms of XP, waste of time and common sense) that it’s not worth even mentioning here, even more considering by a mentally healthy human!
This is what it takes to be ranked at the end of season or really high in non season for any class/build. At some point high fishing is required and gear/augments/play style mean alot less. The maps/mobs/pylons/RGs are what get to that great clear. So when we continue to discuss CC vs core zodiac and furnace vs echoing fury or FOT vs hellfire amulet, they mean very little in terms of grift progression if we are not putting the time and effort to take the build to there max and actually find out what is better. Im sorry a 114 at 837 para is great but i would really like to see this same person get some real augments and real gems so that we can get a 120 clear going or if that is even possible. Same goes for Non season. No one runs WW as there main build in push in non season so we do not know what is better.
For those going the CC route, there are 2 rolls that you may want to change. On your zodiac ring the best rolls are CHC, RCR and CDR. For shoulders the best rolls would be STR, RCR, AD, CDR.
This changes the defense for CC from 28% to 39% at the cost of 7% ASI and one roll of resist all.
