As we all know, the Ethereal Recollection achievement disappeared when season 24 ended. Will it disappear after season 32 again? If it will, as an old player, there will be little motivation for me to collect all the 21 ethereal weapons again. I might not even start the season journey since I got all the seasonal awards in previous seasons.
I know there won’t be anything new in D3, but if the Ethereal Recollection achievement is meant to disappear again, say it directly, Blizzard!
Don’t waste old players’ time on the achievement again!
Maybe I’m missing something. Except for those who find completing ALL Achievements important, why is the Ethereal Recollection Achievement more important than having the Transmogrifications?
This is my (Ethereal Recollection) Achievement from Season 24:
As you can see, the Achievement is expanded and all of the Ethereal Weapons have been collected. (All boxes checked).
You may also notice, in the upper left corner (of the Achievement) you can see the bottom of the icon for the Heritage of Arreat Achievement.
Note too that the Achievement is listed under: Achievements/Career/Feats of Strength. And before Season 24 ended.
Now, if you look at the Achievements AFTER Season 24 ended, you’ll see that I no longer have the Ethereal Recollection Achievement. (It should be listed under the Heritage of Arreat Achievement, or the last Achievement in the list).
However, a few days ago, I was able to Transmog a Primal Yang’s Recurve to an Ethereal Windforce Hydra Bow.
TL:DR – I no longer have the Achievement, but I do have the Transmogs.
I will be keeping an eye on this in Season 32. But, I expect the results to be the same.
Yes, but as per the Bug Report thread, there were some players who lost access to the transmogs when the achievement disappeared. They were a lot more concerned about the transmogs than the achievement itself. It has remained unfixed for 30 months.
But, in this thread, @Apollo only asked if the Achievement would disappear. They did not say anything about missing the Ethereal Transmogs.
(Perhaps players should be more clear what they’re asking or reporting. )
Edit: I hope anyone who lost the Ethereal Transmogs when the Achievement disappeared can earn them (the Transmogs) in Season 32. (Even if the Achievement disappears).
Has the Ethereal Recollection feats of strength reappeared for you now that Season 32 is live?
I don’t see it under Achievements/Career/Feats of Strength so I’m wondering if there is some other way to monitor this (other than by manually tracking it myself)…
If it shows up for Season 32, it will only appear once we’ve collected all 21 Ethereal Weapons. I’ve collected quite a few. But, most of them are the same ones with different Eth Powers.
I completed Season 32 yesterday, all but one Conquest. I’ve Rebirthed my Hardcore Solo Demon Hunter to top that off. Since I’m sticking to my main Region, Americas, I’ll spend more time grinding, just for something to do. But, it’s going to be a while before I collect all the Ethereal Weapons.
I don’t know a way to monitor the Ethereal Achievement other than manually. So far, I’ve been stashing mine. My Demon Hunter Reforged a Windforce four or five times to get Powers, not necessarily that I wanted, but ones I could use. This was for the Unhallowed build. If I go back to playing my Nat’s Spike Trap build I may Reforge a Doomslinger.
As you know, there are 3 Ethereal Weapons for each of 7 Classes. I don’t know if I’m going to try and play one of each Class this Season. Once I get my last Conquest, I’m going to push my Solo Demon Hunter as far as I can. She currently completed GR105. I need to get her to GR110 to complete the Altar Seals. (1600 Blood Shard Cap). Then, I’ll need to grind for Primal items to unlock the Altar Potions. (If I even get that far). I’ve only found 1 Primal so far. My guaranteed drop. And it was a Primal Natalya’s Bloody Footprints. (Imagine that). So, I didn’t salvage it.
TL:DR – I still don’t have the Ethereal Recollection Achievement listed. You will have to monitor the Ethereal Weapons you’ve collected manually. The Achievement will appear when you’ve collected all 21. But, when Season 32 ends, it may disappear again. We won’t know for about 3 months.
Any1 got all the ethereal weapons yet and mind sharing their intels? I’ve been collecting the weapons as well but this is going to be a long grind as I’m also doing it solo. Just wondering if any1 playing groups might got them all collected already this season and if the achievement reappears or not. Any news?
I have collected all 21 ethereals and the Ethereal Recollection Feats of Strength: https://imgur.com/a/1kzw8mA. I snapshotted a T6 clvl 5 game (there is only 1 legendary (Leoric’s Crown) available at that level which greatly increases the chances of getting ethereals). Then I just farmed visions with all 7 different characters.
Maxroll has a guide on this: https://maxroll.gg/d3/resources/s24-theme-ethereals. The one difference is that it recommends a clvl 12 game. Perhaps that was a limitation back in S24 but in S32, I’ve verified that you can do it at clvl 5 which greatly increases the chances for ethereals.
After obtaining the achievement, the transmogs were not immediately available. Strangely, I actually had to leave and re-enter the game twice with 2 different characters until I finally saw the transmogs available at the mystic.
I don’t use transmogs but I can see that I have ethereal trans’ available in non season. I had no idea how many of the 21 I got in s24 - but I must have gotten them all.
Did you log in to a session again after unlocking it? That should solve it. Sometimes cosmetics require that to appear.
I wonder if I’ll lose the transmogs after S32 ends. I unlocked them back in S24 already and I have no intention to collect all Ethereals again this season.
I always had the transmorgs but not the achievement since season 24, so I just collected all the Ethereals again but still don’t have the achievement. Weird.
