The characters were redone all wrong, no respect for the lore or original art from the game. When are we going to hear from blizzard about this?

There is no accident when making models. They are what they look because the artist modeled them as such.
As an artist, creative professional, its understanding that you wanted to have creative freedom of what you wanted to create.
However, just like restoring old artwork, medieval buildings, your job is NOT to reimagine or “improve” how they look, but make them as close as possible what they were when new.
Sure polish the armors for more details is fine, but radically changing the faces to make them old and obvious pants covering skin is disrespectful to OG art & fans.
That will be like making superman a 5 foot tall bald middle age man with a beerbelly. If you want to make a short superhero with beerbelly, power to you, but don’t call him superman.

Ah so you acknowledge the god awful job done on the models, yet you went to pretend it’s “modern artistic choices” just out of spite and to be “special”, “against the crowd”? That’s just hypocrisy on your part, nothing to be proud about.

The art decision on some of the characters is horrible. Specially on Amazon.
She has facial features that are too masculine, and it has nothing to do with original art.
I do not care that someone finds it tiring hearing that. This are feedback forums, and feedback we provide. Be thankful.

Because the character models were fine in the original D2 even if pixelated. And the game is now brought to modern day era in full 4K HD with modern day graphics with very strange take on the characters who never looked that old in the original. And you say it’s not political, but they are definitely trying to do something when they censor and change the shape and models of the original cast and tune it down to a 0. Many examples were given in this thread about other games doing similar things with female character representation. As a female yourself I feel like you should be disgusted by the censor, but yet here you are defending them instead. Funny. Maybe that’s why they are still getting enabled to do such things in games these days. Times were definitely better 15-20 years ago.

You can still see her big nose sticking out even in in game view. Her nose is so big, its the 2nd thing you can see from setelite after the great wall of China.

All I know, is that I won’t be able to fully enjoy D2R knowing they put more effort into making the garlic in act 2, true to the original than any of the female character faces.
Literally all the female characters have manfaces. It just boggles my mind, the length’s they went through to make this game as true to the original as possible and yet somehow overlooked all the female faces that look nothing like their respected original content.

Just saw the act1 models, males are fine. All females suffer from the same maleface syndrome.
Either the people at vicarious visions don’t know how to make good looking females or are being told to make them masculine/male looking on purpose… Either way, yikes.

This could work. You can either join team Diablo or team Tristram. Team Tristram you get to play as a hero. Team Diablo puts you in a 40 man raid that goes where the hero goes, with what you control changing with the zones.
