if they all fought, which class according to the lore would be the last survivor? It’s certainly between the crusader, necro, and witch doctor. i dont see how the others could compete. Maybe the wizard, but 1v1 the necro is just a better wizard.
Barbarian is strongest. Crush your enemies. See them driven before you. Hear the lamentations of their women.
i dunno, crusader lore has said that brabarians pose no threat to them because of their thorny armor and reflect damage.
it’s like, you can have a full strength max dps barabrian, but you can’t do chaos sanctuary because of a simple Iron Maiden curse.
I’d put barabians just above monks.
The strongest barbarian is worth nothing if they are full of arrows before they can even get close enough to hit… ~Demon Hunter says Hi
I have been playing this game for a long time, and never really cared about the lore. Just looked out there and see a bunch of sites dedicated to the lore and checked that there are even novels!
By the lack of immediate responses, my guess is most of the current players (like me) play the game and have never gotten past, cool this is fun and note that there is a story mode, but after the first run through only play adventure mode.
I am not knocking it after all a lot of games have stories so griping of the imagination that Hollywood made movies and TV shows.
Anyway, maybe when Diablo IV comes out I may consider investing some time immersing myself in the story and lore.
How would arrows help you against shields of arcane magicks, while being struck by lightnings from the sky?
Don’t look now but… Right behind you… Ouch, knife in the back…
That had to hurt… =)
Simply put tho… It would be impossible to say as each has very different fighting styles and there is always one or several who can counter each one individually.
Myriam the mystic! She’s going to sexy time all of them to death! Yes, even women.
The last survivor would be the winner, which brings us to…
Winners never quit, and quitters never win.
for me crusader is the more op class, then wizzard and necromancers with their magick, then wich doctors and barbarians are like the same, and i think last are the demon hunters and monks
Sorcerers can incinerate you regardless of much armor you have, just by looking at you.
It all depends, are we talking fully powered up nephalem? If we are then class would mean nothing since it would be up to the individuals will. Whomever has the strongest will would prevail.
If talking purely gameplay classes, it would be down to Crusader/Paladin or Wizard/Sorc.
Let me just say, this would be a better Bravata if he just posted this type of stuff I stead of trolling. But the true Bravata will show up soon enough.
Big deal. My mother-in-law can do that.
It’s difficult to say. Because in my opinion there’s a lot of different variables to consider, and nothing in the lore actually says which one is the strongest.
For example, are we talking about the classes throughout all 3 games (Rogue, Warrior, Sorceror, Amazon, Paladin, Sorceress, Barbarian, Necromancer, Druid, Assassin, Demon Hunter, Monk, Wizard, Witch Doctor, and Crusader), or simply the available classes from Diablo 3? If it’s the former, then are we talking about the canonical representation (Warrior being Aidan, Sorceress being Li-Ming, and Demon Hunter being Valla), or simply fully awoken Nephalem who represents the class? Then if it’s the latter, then I’ll simply say that it just depends on which individual wields the greater power (rather than the class); then in the case that they are equal to one another in terms of power, then the outcome would depend on a number of different factors like luck or the area of where the battle takes place.
Of course, there’s also the possibility that they’d destroy each other along with Sanctuary (assuming that they’ve reached Uldyssian’s level of power), resulting in the battle being a vicious draw.
On the other hand, if we’re simply talking about gameplay; then I’d say whichever class can clear the hardest available content the fastest and/or most efficient.
In the first game play clip from Blizzcon 2019 a Sorceress hits a Barbarian (PvP) with some ice bolts.
They do nothing to him and he one shots her. I do not know who would be the most powerful in the Lore.
Lol, you are going to get all sorts of answers. Everyone will say something different and put their favourite class above the others, and all of them will have a point.
I am just going to point out that barbs were not just brutes, they were really sophisticated warriors, and if I remember right, before Baal arrived in D2, their fortress has never been breached. And also the worldstone was guarded by Barbarians. Not sorceresses, not paladins. In my mind they are the top elite warriors in Diablo lore.
i mean, yah i get you 100%, and it’s mostly correct, but we ALL saw that cinematic
Baal arrived in D2, their fortress has never been breached.
and we all cringed at how that barabian failed so hard he was on the level of Mr. Bean, and i love Mr. Bean he’s my favorite comedian of all time, but you don’t want him in control of humanities survival. or do you. wait.
Mostly because of the terrain. Fighting up a mountain into a heavily fortified fortress, with the protection of “god” himself in Inarius, no one was going to. After the events of the sin wars and everyone’s memory altered, there was no need to even go to Mt. Areat, until the events of D2. Which, with a demon powered army and the nephalem depowered, they were easy pickings.
Even the crusaders said the Barbarian posed no threat. Barbs would be top of the bottom.
Circumstances, equipment, and equivalency all matter.
Put a low experienced barbarian with no gear against a vastly superior wizard with an assorted panoply of legendary/set items… and well, guess.
Even at the same level and with comparable gear, there are many things to consider like skill/spell set (and from what game - the way shields work in previous games may alter the outcome) and blah blah blah.
Each of them can and would win. None can be on top forever.
