How is that different than any other “official” polls? If it question of manipulation. Official polls can be manipulated just as easily.
Majority of the new modern players? Mabye. Majority of the actual Diablo 2 fanbase? I think not.
The mechanic is functional, and as intended. These kinds of mechanics is why people still play Diablo 2 to this day eventhough the game is 2D, 800x600 and with terrible networking.
It adds depth to the game, like games does not have anymore in modern times. Modern games hold your hand through the entire game, giving you basically no decisions and depth.
We want to decide whether it is worth picking up a charm.
We want to decide whether it is worth picking up/storing items.
We want to commit to a build, carefully placing stats and skill points to make a great character we are happy with.
We want the game to be difficult, rewarding and have longevity.
We want Diablo 2
And i think people who does not stand behind these core values should find a different game to play. Not all games has to be the same.

It does not add depth to the game i assure you, I’m a vanilla player and i played since launch and played for many years, I’m part of that actual Diablo 2 fanbase, after those pools I thought the same as you, so i decided to join my friend on one of the mods and tested all those features by myself to see why so many people want them and now I understand why, go a do the same and do it like you mean it before you tell us it’s game breaking

Then VV does these things and it’s no longer a D2Remaster. It’s some horrid forum / internet poll based whine fest amalgamation that plays or feels nothing like D2.
Only the shortsighted can’t see this. I’m sorry but I feel that those requesting a charm stash don’t actually understand the core mechanic of charms, if they did, how could they ask for a stash? I don’t see it and I don’t agree with it.

i think most understand… they just whant it to be easier, so they have to do less work.
I have tried Path of Diablo specifically, and i did not like it. But even if i did, i still would not except them to change the core game into the mod. If i liked Path of Diablo better, i would play Path of Diablo:R, which will probably come shortly after release.

Not mor easier, I would say most effective so you can actualy do less work and more play the actual game.

That’s a redundant statement, anything can be manipulated out of authenticity. There are a list of requirements you need for a poll to fulfill in order for it to be gauged as meaningful.
An extremely simple example would be, polling from any one website, would logically only sample the population that visits that specific site and ONLY those that visit the site within a time period less than the duration the poll was being taken.
We could split hairs all day long, the short of it is simply: Internet polls are mostly hot garbage and are slung around as if they meant something.
