WD Rank #1 150 Clear Wudijo

What can I say? The man knows his craft so well.

People cried about how bad WD is for several seasons. Props to Wudi, he shapen the mentality of many again. In fact, class itself was fine, all you need to do was having a proper skill setup for debuffs.

Oh wow that was siiiick!!!

this some kind of sick joke?

are you literally saying “just have the perfect rift, perfect pylon set up, and a seasonal theme to carry you and then WD isnt so bad even though any class would have cleared that rift much easier”…?

you forget the first time this season theme came out, Zbarb made a laughing stock of it in the first couple weeks? there’s literally no reason to play this theme. I dare you or Wudi to play Mundunugu without being carried by this seasonal theme. You won’t.

The season theme is technically the strongest of all, however, you need to play around the season theme, and many people just don’t bother enough. Wudi is really good at playing around season theme.

BTW, I cleared 150 with Mundu, in SSF S34 and S30… But like 13/14 min clears, with 3,5K paragon.

Technically WD is still the “lowest” in class strength though. But with high enough paragon, they can “outshine” some other classes (due to INT stacking with skills/passives). But even non-season I will not reach that paragon, most likely.

I’m sorry… who is this?

Wudijo is a long time S tier Diablo 3 player, and Maxroll contributor. Equivalent in my opinion to a SC2 grandmaster. Upper 2 percent for sure. Wudijo is one of those players that knows what works, and why it works.

That said, just because Wudi can get a WD 150 clear, early season with very low paras, doesn’t mean YOU (2nd person impersonal tense) can.

I include myself among those that can’t, but appreciate knowing what’s possible.

And Mattelot 1000% knows this. He’s just trolling, again. Because he is a troll.

I didn’t bother answering him because I’ve already done multiple times before on this very subject. Also I think he has me blocked as well.

Understood, thank you

He is maybe the only one who still care about Diablo 3 in the staff of maxroll. And yes, he’s really talented too. He accepts feedback and helpful.

… the liability of any class for a GR150 clear would be fulfilled".

I wouldn’t know about that. I don’t go to maxroll. I heard it was run by a streamer and said “yeah… pass”. I stick to Icy Veins and a couple discords. But thank you for the information.

how did zbarb trigger seasonal theme?

WD is still pretty terrible outside of this theme (not as bad as some people claim, but still weak compared to others)

It’s purely the theme carrying it here due to the WD’s ability to group up mobs with zombie wall & piranhado

Him getting this incredibly impressive clear with this theme doesn’t discredit or disprove anybodies complaints about WD, wudi himelf would probably tell you that

WD has been in a bad spot for a long time, despite being the most unique class in this particular version of Diablo.

Because they used an exploit. It was done in groups actually but when the GR pop up came, everyone denied except one player. That player went solo into the rift and the other 3 would gather mobs near the teleport way point in some areas of the world. He/She/They would kill some monsters and the player would activate kill streaks buffs inside the rift chain killing everything. The game would register as a solo clear, cause, techically one player would participate in the greater rift. Barb was very popular in this because they are excellent at gathering mobs in one tight space. And damage was no needed, since the kill streaks would do all the job. In SSF it’s not possible to pull it off.

If I remember correctly 0% Conduit Pylon, he grabbed all the monsters together and the season theme chain reaction did the rest.

They should merge the leaderboards for all regions or at least make it a toggle

It would need to be reworked. People don’t live in the same time zone. A player whose season starts at 10 am would probably have an advantage over a person whose season start begins at 10 pm.

Also, another factor is one is probably my biggest pet peeve with the game, in that people confuse first with efficient. Some players already had 50+ hours just this weekend. That’s more than most people, including myself, would have in a month.

I care about efficiency, not firsts. Often, it’s the player who’s ranked 7-9 who plays with significantly more skill over the player who’s rank 1. But the community goes, oh, look at #1, while ignoring that they took 3x as long to get to that spot as the players lower on the leaderboard.

I was curious about who writes Icy-Veins guides…

Most or all D3 build guides are attributed to a Deadset, who has a YT channel
(https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCe1-H-1JeBFfvL0wbZfOt4Q) and a Twitch channel (https://www.twitch.tv/deadset/), which show inactivity for 7 & ~1 year respectively, but the 13k remaining Twitch followers & his “streamer” setup in the YT videos, logically mean he is or was a “streamer”. All of the D3 build guides appear to be periodically ‘updated’, so presumably he wrote most or all of them while being a “streamer”.

A bunch of their miscellaneous topics are attributed to “Staff”, so as good as anonymous - maybe written by “streamers”.

I clicked a random D4 build guide (https://www.icy-veins.com/d4/guides/stinger-spiritborn-leveling-build/), and the authors are “streamer” Neviriah (T: https://www.twitch.tv/Neviriah/, YT: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCnZ4zHwvfgUAl0F-lBwwG_Q) and big fat (metaphorically) “streamer” Ghazzy (T: https://www.twitch.tv/ghazzytv/, YT: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCoZit1xdwD_46j8sZWRKhoA).

Does this update your priors?
