I read in an article below the game now has unlimited respec - was that just an aspect changed for the beta test? Or can you now retrain as much as you want?

It’s been limited to 3 in Classic and
3+ unlimited with items farmed from bosses in LoD for years now.
You can make tokens of absolution from boss parts, they allow unlimited resets.
You get one respec per difficulty through Akara after completing the den of evil quest.
Beyond the three respecs from Akara you’re required to farm essences from Andariel, Diablo and Baal in hell difficulty. One of each of these essences in the horadric cube will grant a token of absolution.
Upon using the token you can respec, so yes, infinite respecs.
It will work like the current game - so yes, there are respecs but you have to work for it.
