What if I am a 4:3 screen player? should the game be restricted to 4:3 for all players? its not my problem to have an ultrawide screen and donāt punish me by adding black bars in non pop gameplay
actually just add black bars to reduce the screen to 4:3 when someone joins a pvp game.

Okay, we have to deal with black bars. The good thing is: D2RE will support 19:9. So, its not full 21:9, but way better than 16:9 with black bars. That is okay for me.
What are the crybabys do against 19:9 compared to 16:9 in PvP?

Iām really disappointed to see that 21:9 is not supported. Maybe they can patch it up later?
Now, is there one good reason not to have the UI use the black bars area? I donāt see any.

Are you referring to being ārightā about people buying an UW monitor for the game? I doubt many, if any at all bought an UW specifically for this game. They would have had it already, myself included. However, developers talked about UW support at the first mention of the game on stream. Specifically mentioned it. Or maybe itās just common practice to pull a Peter Molyneux nowadays?

I donāt think they lied on stream. My bet is they were unaware of the problem. See, nobody from the real D2 team left in Blizzard. There are no people that stay longer in the office, not because of the work, but because they played Magic the Gathering together and they did not wanted to stop! They were passionate about games. They know their games and they loved them, played them. Now Activision/Blizzard is typical corpo as any other. They got the product, they want milk more money from it. What is the problem? Old graphics. Hire a team to make modern one! So they hired VV and set the goals for them. Graphics updated, job is done. And you can clearly see where the problem is. Noone played this game. As in any corpo you are a tiny piece of puzzle, and you acting as such. Its just a job. They asked you to upgreate the graphics and left everything else as it was? You and your team did exactly this! Are they really passionate about Diablo, did they stay overnight to play it in the team of good old friends? Errrā¦ team of good old friends?!? They are mercenaries hired for a purpose, and that was not the purpose They spent months on this, still unaware of the problem, as nobody really tested playability of the gameā¦ So one tiny puzze (hired devs) passed the information to another one (marketing) that job is done. They released alfa with beautifull graphics on everything from 4:3 to 32:9, probably very proud of their job. Yeah, game looks beautifull! But game is not the graphics onlyā¦ Couple of days and couple of gamers was enough to point it out! Poor unaware Blizzardā¦ Now they panically hide part of UW screens to save the situation. Btw, Im really curious what happening there behind the scenes. Now the blame goes lower and lower in the structure as in any corpo. CEO obviously not responsible for this, project director too, marketing manager, PR manager, god knows how many other āmanagersā and āteam leadersā. So they will fire 2 lowest developers in the structure. And all that should be done, is to sit and play your own gameā¦
