Or you get one after 3 and then one after 16, and you have gained 50 FS compared to the guaranteed ones. Sometimes it’s more, sometimes it’s less. More variance, more RNG.
It can dip under the average exactly as much as it can go over the average, or it wouldn’t be the average…
You’ve written so many words on this now, but still seem to struggle with the math of it. Would it help to write out the formulas and numbers, maybe some plots? Or maybe just drop it?
I rather do that. All I ever did was repeating “glass is half empty” over and over again. I’ll spare all of us from reading my poorly convoluted math-craft.
i think all this “reforge” and “upgrade” system needs a rework, especialy when you Reroll a legendary item to get better stats. i honestly stopped all that, because i realized it is a waste of time, to farm tens of thousands of materials to get pure garbage in the end. of course theres pirate parrots, who going to blame RNG… but i belive as most of things in diablo3 are, they just creat it by “any way”.
It’s obvious, this whole reforge and reroll system is a joke, just like rerolling the item with Artisan. The last time I rerolled an item with Miryam, it took more than 280 attempts to put 10% CHC on an amulet.
