Any suggestions on how I can improve my Demon Hunter to do better than 107 solo?
On your Shadow?

If so, replace either Pain Enhancer or Bane of the Powerful with Gogok. The attack speed and dodge of Gogok is pretty important for a shadow.
You are missing Cold damage on your strong-arms. Cold would also be helpful on your amulet.
Your helm does not have Crit Hit Chance or Impale damage. you are missing one heck of a lot of damage.
You currently do not have any Cool Down Reduction rolls. I usually take that on shoulders, but with your gear now, you can roll it on gloves.
Very nice boots
You are using a lightening impale rune, and your Holy Point Shot has Cold damage. Try switching to the cold rune.
There is more, but these changes will make a world of difference.
Thank you for the help. I forgot to add that my demon hunter is HunterII Shadow Mantle Build
Another thing you could try is S6 with Aughilds, like my current Season Hunter in EU:

You need to swap Elusive for RoRG in that case (In season, I use Elusive+RoRG instead of RoRG+Aquila).
UmmmâŚyou canât do a 107 with 2k paragon? IMHO, if that is the case, there is something very wrong with your play style. Some tips:
quiver - re-roll vit to impale dmgâŚ
compass rose is sub standard - just cos itâs ancient doesnât mean itâs good. I wouldnât waste a 108 rank gem on an augment for this item. Sorry!
bracers - you RUINED these. Why on earth did you re-roll the secondary? That LPS primary is garbage. It should have been re-rolled to cold dmgâŚ
tp ammy is ok, but you want the golden trifecta - elemental, chc and chd. Trust me, a non ancient with those 3 primary stats will outperform your ancient, even with the augment.
helm is terrible - dex/chc/impaleâŚmissing a chunk of dmg here!
shoulders arenât much better - dex/vit/ar and cdr is what you wantâŚ
chest is OK, but not great. AR will give you around 8% more toughness (and some recovery) as opposed to armourâŚif you can get LPK AND reduced dmg on both secondary rolls, you have a winner.
belt - re-roll that LPS to armour immediately. Again, like with chest, you want dex/vit/% life/AR as itâs better than armour roll. Still, you can add some more toughness to your character by re-rolling LPS. LPS is garbage btw.
pants - re-roll LPS to armour. Again, AR is a better optionâŚnice that it has LPK as a secondary though.
very nice gloves! Re-roll that vitality to IAS immediately. You could go AD rather than IAS, especially since youâre running the cold variant of impale, but without more AD on other pieces of gear, IAS is a better option imho.
COE is pretty good! The better trifecta is chc/chd/physical dmg, but what you have is very good and most certainly usable.
karlies, yes, itâs a primal. But, itâs badly rolledâŚyou would have been better off re-rolling vit to bonus dmg, butâŚI got a perfect primal karleis the other night - dex/ias/bonus dmg and LPK as a secondary. Win! Re-roll the LPK to bonus dmgâŚitâs not ideal, but itâll help. As you have AD on this weapon, roll AD on the gloves.
As Hebalon said, aughilds (shoulder and bracers) are a good idea - youâll need to run elusive and rorg though and ditch COE - donât worry too much, aughilds variant is better even without COE. Trust me on this (I run it on my seasonal and NS, SC and HC characters). More damage and toughness than the traditional impale s6 build with all six set pieces of shadows set.
Skills (active) - why are you running the lightning rune on impale when you have cold dmg on your items? Thatâs a bit stuff up.
passives are fine.
follower - make sure to get ess of johan ammy, thunderfury sword, wyrdward ring and use a ruby in the followerâs weapon, not an emerald.
Youâve really crippled yourself with some bad rolls - in future, ask on the forums before you ever roll anything lol!!!
Iâm not trying to sound mean, but youâve hampered yourself badly. With that much paragon, you should be pushing north of a GR120âŚI did a 119 in s19 (HC) with only p1065âŚ
Keep at it, youâll get there.
You could make recommendations w/o the âYour ruined⌠Youâd of been better offâŚâ the ââŚyou canât do⌠when I can doâŚâ isnât much help either.
This isnât the general forum. Donât really need to put down peoples choices when offering âadviceâ.
although his âtoneâ can be improved his advice is still sound.
Sometimes, you have to be hard to get people to fix their problems. If the OP has a problem with my post, he can report it to the mods. If you donât like it, same thing. I gave the OP advice, not babied him.
To be honest, dpâŚ
I wish you would take your attitude to the console forums. Yeah, âIâm the tough guyâ schtick may work on most places on the web but here, it just doesnât fly.
Oh, and being mean about things isnât being âtoughâ, itâs being RUDE. Thereâs about a thousand ways you could have offered the advice without sounding like a prick.
Now, just maybe, itâs your generation. I imagine itâs your parentâs fault for never teaching you respect.
(See, I made a point to. And I did it with attitude. Donât I sound so tough?)
I donât give a rats you know what you think of me mate. I couldnât give a damn about you or your âattitudeâ. So, right back at you mate.
Okay, let me try a different tactâŚ
Why do you feel that you need to be tough for people to give you respect?
What put it in your head that what people need from you is that you can teach people that world isnât a nice place. They have to learn it from somewhere, right?
Unfortunately, most people donât need the lesson your trying to teach. Everyone knows itâs a cruel world. No one needs you to teach them that lesson. Most learned it when they were children, even those who were sheltered as much as you assume everyone but you were.
Look, I appreciate that there might be something going on in your life that requires you to put on the tough guy guise. But whatever your reasons, they arenât enough to justify going out of your way to be mean or offend people.
Youâre not making yourself look like anything but an irascible jerk. You can be better than that. Life is like a clear blue pond. When you toss a stone in the pond, the ripples will touch every part of the pond.
Itâs your choice whether the stone you toss is one of kindness or one of meanness.
Criticisms do not bother me at all. I am 90 years old and the only thing that bothers me is all the abbreviations everyone uses.
What abbreviations give you troubleâŚ
Things like CoE (Convention of Elements) or all the LpK, LpH and stuff like that?
On the old forums there was a huge thread that people could link to with the definitions of all the acronyms people use in posts. Unfortunately we donât have that resource anymore.
Thanks for your help on the acronyms, Idolis. I made a copy of the dictionary in May 2013 and use it quite a bit, but it seems the new ones are not always in there. To tell the truth I didnât take offence with dpasterns remarks. I thought it was constructive criticism.
Itâs understandable. Iâm sure youâve heard worse. We all pretty much have. That said, we try to keep it friendly here. People are more likely to take advice when it doesnât come as heavy on the criticism and more along the lines of being helpful.
I have to admit I jumped in to defend you when you really didnât need me to. But in my defense, dp, often comes off the way he did in this thread and its more disruptive than it should be.
Every slight, he has to respond to. And when he tries to make a point it is usually tilted as an insult along the line of âIâm better than you! So listen to me!â instead of âThis is the way I do it, it works for me, maybe it could work for you too.â
Heck, he derailed a thread of mine looking for buffs for the DH for several posts arguing that console is better than PC when it had nothing to do with the thread.
In other words, he just rubs me the wrong way.
Wasnât trying to act âtoughâ as you so succinctly put it. You interpreted it that way. Thatâs your issue, not mine.
we live in a glass house world where criticism is sadly, not wanted. Some people want a shiny, happy world where everything is rainbows and fairy floss.
if OP chooses to take my advice, heâll prolly push 10 GRs higher. If he gets 10 more GRs out of the build, then I did my job and Iâll be happy.
Okay, letâs derail the thread furtherâŚ
The world isnât ârainbows and fairy flossâ. But under no circumstance does that give you or anyone else the right to be a jerk. âThe world isnât nice, so why should I be?â is basically what your saying.
Because you find the world is this horrible unforgiving place, doesnât mean it you have to make it so. You can, but choose not to, be a little kinder. So yes, as long as people like you do the things you do, then the world is going to be a junkyard full of jerks trying to teach the world that itâs an unkind world out there, âSo get used to it!â
Well, weâre all pretty used to it. However, that doesnât mean we should act like jerks.
You have issues. I point those issues out. You then say those issues are mine.
Iâm not the only person youâve gotten into it with on these forums. Maybe itâs not everyone else thatâs the problem. It could be (and absolutely is) your frickinâ problem.
So Iâll finish by sayingâŚ
Itâs time to grow up, kid. Youâre not helping anybody. And if by happenstance you do wind up âhelping somebodyâ, it wonât be because you were a jerk and thatâs what did it.
Okay, whatever you say, maâam.
Sneaks into the thread trying to be helpfulâŚ
Hereâs a link to a handy guide which details what all the abbreviations and acronyms are and what they meanâŚ
âŚIâll let the others get back to squabbling now.
