Still getting "downloading additional content" when loading

Is anyone else still getting this message? I usually get booted out 3-4 times before the game will actually load and then sometimes after I’m in it boots me out when I teleport to the first map.

This season is so fun but this update is ruining it for me.

I have decided to ask for specific data to try to find a common link between those of you having issues.

Please only post if you are getting the messsage!

If you can, provide some or as much of the following as you can:


  • Your approximate location (Country, State/Province, & City is fine)

  • What internet provider you use

  • What Windows you are on and its specific version (for example, Windows 11 Home, 24H2)

  • What CPU you are on

  • What GPU you are using to game on

  • What driver version of the GPU you are using

  • What kind of storage drive is the game running from (SSD, HDD, Etc)

  • What other programs you might be running alongside the game

If you want to volunteer anything else, such as steps taken so far, or anything else that may be relevant, please do so. But keep your posts to the point for brevity.

Thanks. I saw the main post but was wondering if people are still having the issue.

I don’t know the CPU GPU storage answers, I’m a super casual player
I’ve been closing everything since having this problem
Additionally, we had 2 power outages where I lost my internet connection since the update

Same prog’s before & after update.

Today I went to Battle.net menu: Settings: Downloads: Game updates: Auto Updates.
Checked “Never automatically apply updates”.

Hasn’t tried to “download additional content” since.
It’s back - only worked for one day.
