So there doesn’t seem to be a way to play SSF outside of non season. At least I don’t seem to be able to check that when creating a new non seasonal toon.
So what happens to the paragon and items I farmed in HC SSF when the season ends? Do they go to my HC NS or do they poof into nothingness?
It’ll transfer to your ordinary HC account. I saw some bug reports last season turnover where players said that they missed or lost some of their mats from SSF (like runes and such).
Yes. And if you play a bit of HC season and HC SSFM season, they will both be added into your HC NS.
Ya, there were a lot of complaints that not all the mats got transferred over from both. I have written down my mats totals for seasonal SC, SSFM SC, HC, SSFM HC, and my non-seasonal totals to see if it works correctly.
On both season and non-season ??? In theory, I suppose every thing is possible but…
One of the numerous theories was that this zeroing could happen if you had 0 mats of a specific kind in non-season… somehow the end of season code was bugged and it “failed” when trying to add the season quantity if the non-season quantity was 0. An interesting theory, but it didn’t explain all the zeroes observed and/or reported.
The thing that bugs me is that, as far as I recall, no one came back to say that their missing mats had been restored… which has me wondering whether we’re going to live through that again this season if Blizzard hasn’t found the source of the bug.
What you are quoting me on was just the first picture with the 5 bounty mats. It is possible, but difficult to zero 2 of your bounty mats crafting a set piece at Haedrig’s (both bounty mats needed for the set item would need to be equal and they would need to burn a lot since the other 3 mats are around 4600).
We will see if it happens again to some people. All I know is if I lose 5 figures worth of bounty mats and 6 figures worth of other mats non-season, my Blizz playing days may be over.
This is why I am going to record my mats pre and post season end.
Well, worked correctly for me last season, but maybe I was just lucky. Now that I’ll have allmost 9000 of each of the bounty mats, approximately 40000 to 45000 of normal crafting mats, 10000+ souls and 600+ hellfire collected in season 30 I should probably do that to. Not to forget to note the current non-season numbers…
Same for me. I didn’t record my numbers, but none were zeroed out and they all seemed to go up. Seeing as only a few dozen brought it on the forums, I would wager the odds of getting bugged out are small, but it is a lottery I do not want to win.
Yups. I have jotted down all of them: SC/HC, SSFMSC/SSFMHC, and NSSC/NSHC. So fingers crossed I get them all.
…and thumbs pressed too - as we do in Germany. Not that this (raw translated) idiom is making any or more sense than the “reverse” raw translation to “Finger kreuzen”…
As I recall, many of the players who had mat transfer problems had no Non Season Heroes for them to roll over to. I had no problems in any Region on 2 accounts, HC and SC.
Interesting… I always keep at least one NS hero around… I’ll change that around on one of the other regions… like Asia. Record all the numbers, delete the NS hero, and see what happens.
If you have a Non Season hero and delete it, the mat totals still exist, just like HC death.
I think some of those Players never had Non Season or had them very long ago and only came to play SSF Season.
Giving an update.
Did my non-season cleanup and all my mats were correctly added into my non-season HC and SC.
I did have at least 1 character already existing in non-season (one theory was having no non-season characters causing the bug).
I didn’t have any zeros for any of my mats in any mode season or non-season (a second bug theory).
I did have one interesting thing happen. I played all 4 modes SC/HC and SSFM SC/HC. Since HC is harder 1-70 than SC, I saved my Haedrig’s gift for HC both times and used them both times. When I did my non-season trash sort, I had 3 Haedrig’s gifts in the mail. At least it was a bug where I got 6 free forgotten souls instead of getting jammed.
