Spontaneous crash to desktop in Ancient Vault, possibly caused by Season 21 Gimmick

As per title. Was about to enter Greed’s lair in Ancient Vault, game crashed to desktop after “foghorn” sound activated and screen darkened. Would like my ancient puzzle ring back if possible please.

…possibly caused by Season 21 Gimmick

I doubt it. I’ve been running The Vault, Not the Cow Level, Rifts, Greater Rifts, Bounties and Set Dungeons. And I’m currently playing on the Asia Region where I get the worst latency because I live in the US. Even though Season 21’s Theme is extremely annoying, I have not had a single crash yet.

Crashes are technical issues and should be reported in the Technical Support Forum. You should move this thread there if you want help with it.

Not possible. There are no restoration services for D3. You’ll just have to farm for more.

Hey Badger,

We can’t restore any items that were used or lost but we can take a look at your system files and provide some recommendations to help you avoid similar problems in the future. Please reply with your DxDiag:

  1. Press Windows Key + R.
  2. Type DxDiag and press Enter.
  3. In the DxDiag window, click Save All Information.
4)Name the file “dxdiag” and click Save
  4. Paste the DXdiag into the post, select and highlight everything you just pasted, and hit the “code” button (</>). That’ll make the information much more readable.
It should look like this.

If you have issues pasting here, please use Pastebin and post the link (ex: Pastebin (dot) com/123456).

Having the same problem, randomly the game closes without warning and goes to desktop… 3 days in a row already… Blizzard?

Hey, Mania! Would you happen to have or had Razer peripherals on the system? If so, try these steps:

If it continues, please start a new thread with DxDiag files (instructions above). We do not troubleshoot multiple issues on a single thread since this can cause a lot of confusion. It’s recommended to start your own thread unless there is a common/trending issue that we’re looking into.
