Do you understand the nuances though? Do you understand every staffmod calculation at lvl65 vs lvl 94?
Do you know the output ilvl of an imbued circlet vs a diadem? Do you know the most efficient way to create the best +2 +3 2os items?
There are wonderful calculations being done under the hood of this game as we play. There are simple things they could change that could wreck a great portion of that.

Until Vicarious Visions actually make the changes people want it can be stated that those asking for the changes are just as well playing “developer”. Even if said changes are made does not mean they will be exactly what was asked and or straight from the mods that people are asking for.

but as I said before, Vicarious visions did such a good job so far and made sure to let us know they are listening to the community and not here to ruin the game i trust them going forward to make the right decision
Also I’m not trying to ‘play developer’ I believe what the original developers created is art.
I want that art to be preserved.
People give the developer a basic idea of what needs improvement, its the developer job to implement it, have not played developer only reached my hand and gave me input, as I said before I trust them to make the right call
I do to believe it to be art, and that art is not gone, the original game is always there and even if it were not, i assure you the original team would have added much more if they could
there was another expansion planned until they turned it into a new game which was transferred into another team at the end
The idea of catering to reddit and Twitter diablo fans is terrifying from a gaming standpoint. The idea that this remaster could turn out to be wc3 reforged all over again sucks.
If they implement item and skill changes in a paintover patch, I will never again buy a Blizzard product. A different realm? Sure. No problem. Live and let live.
The people that are voicing there concern are not just the people that want changes. Therefore, VV would have to compromise upon the feedback upon the different camps and make the call according to what’s best for the different fanbases.
Capcom found themselves in a similar situation with RE2 Remake and RE7. They did essentially what was the middle ground between the different fandoms.

The original game’s servers are on their last legs and barely playable. D2 is primarily a multiplayer game. It’s not a valid argument.

As of right now I am planning to buy at the very least 3 copies.
If they came out tomorrow and stated it will release as a paintover patch with item and skill upgrades, I will immediately refund and never buy D4.

last time I played online it seemed fine, It might seem like it right now because much other player like me that usually play vanilla are actually waiting for the new D2R release, I am not the servers right now for that reason
The servers are having many technical difficulties. There are threads about it in this very forum from last week. I stopped logging in last week because I kept getting muted, dropping games, and put in queues.
I don’t think they will respond to this shallow threat my friend 
but you shouldn’t be worried, the diablo fan base is pretty vocal, nothing bad will come of the game
of course there are, they are getting ready for the new release, I noticed it the last time I played as well, it was a bit different, they must have changed something the caused it
but there were always problems, I don’t know if you ever spoke to Blizzard support about Diablo 2 before but when ever you had an issue or you couldn’t log in because you were muling or something of the sort, they did not have enough control to just let you play again until the soft ban was off, even though they knew what was going on
the new release will fix all of that, and if you still want the old game and enough people feel the same there will be a mode for it 100%
Why would it be a shallow threat? I want to play diablo 2 resurrected for very specific reasons. If they change itemization, which is my primary reason for leaving PoE, then I will just refund and play PoE2.

It’s them doing what they advertised. They advertised the same gameplay, if they drastically change it by balancing skills and items, why would I possibly support that?
I’m not going to go to a movie’s sequel if I think it looks unappealing, even if I loved the original.
